So I see that Boomba and AMP make BOV adapter plates that allow a VAC solution to the factory valve allowing you to vent rather than recycle which allows you to retain the OEM electronically controlled valve rather than switching to a mechanically controlled aftermarket solution like Turbosmart or TiAL. What are your thoughts on this solution guys?

Doesn't that sound a bit different? And I've heard that you will hear the valve opening all the time like that

Hold off until you get the intake;) Removing the hose and using the adapter will sound exactly the same. You will hear it all the time either way.

The adapter is such a gimmick part:/ Save those dollars for your intercooler and Tune+ tune;)

medic_cop15 - do you have a sound clip or link?
higdominator - LOL IK IK I posted this thread BEFORE the show the other day. I am still waiting on MMR to ship (btw you know the sale ends SOON) but if it doesn't sound so good I'd rather just do the plate rather than just disconnecting hoses and leaving things hanging, until I can get the proper BOV

I know, just throwing that out there.

If you want the sound you don't need to leave anything hanging. I actually have some caps that fit the recirc tube connection.

I'm holding off, I'm gonna run the stock airbox until I absolutely don't need it (or until Adam is done tuning my car as it currently is).

I've tossed around the idea of making the car more "pretty" but only after its fast!

I don't think they flow much better than the stock system, plus my intake temps are way better than with the JLT across the board which = power.

I'm sure there's a point they become restrictive but at my current goal it doesn't seem to be an issue. We have the same airbox as the 5.0, so it flows good enough to support that power at least...

true, I just knew that I didn't want to buy a FMI yet and at this price it was hard to turn down

This is a mod I did that gives you the same sound as the BOV adapter for less than $20.

I wouldn't spend a dime on that Boomba thing or anything similar.. total waste of money and from the reviews I've seen on youtube it seems super obnoxious..

Either do the line cap or just get an aftermarket intake.. the MMR gives you all the noise even with the recirculating hose attached.. at least that's what I'm lead to believe by the videos on the tube.. I get mine tomorrow so I'll find out for myself.

I got the boomba, total waste of money.. Sounds nice but on highway speeds, it will suddenly whistle and it will get louder and louder until you take your foot off the gas. If it wasn't for that, I would have kept it.

Oh well, chalk it up as a lesson learned! FML lol
