Did some searching first, didnt see a ton of info. Found a super deal on a 1 piece alum driveshaft. I have a 2020 A10 GT thats still NA. Looking for some feedback on what the difference felt like once you'd installed it verses stock.

any input is appreciated!

I have a dss aluminum. It did not vibrate like everyone else's on here. It did make the rear end whine louder than I desired (I have the BMR aluminum bushings lockout and derlin cradle bushing so it makes noise).; I have the two piece back in and it is quieter, slightly.

I have a DSS and it vibrates..Took it out and installed the factory one..Going to have a local driveshaft shop check the balance on it..Talking to DSS tech is useless....P.S ,yes I tried rotating it also and did nothing

i guess.. I was looking to see if there was any sort of a noticeable difference other than vibration of course. Obviously the 2 piece was put there for NVH.. I expect some of that to be there.

I do not have an aluminum DS in the Mustang, do have one on another car. Ordered from Denny's drive shaft service, NY . Do good work, U-joint upgrade shipped as a standard.

Did notice some difference, nothing drastic. That said lots of little things add up.

Car has headers & side pipes. If there was any increase in the drive train noise. Can not hear it, do like the idea of a one piece drive shaft for the Mustang. I think it would be smoother, than the 2 piece.

Yea, the least of my worries is the noise. I have LTH, and mostly drive in track mode. The radio is usually cranked as well.. LOL

If you don't correct the pinion angle when using a 1-piece driveshaft you will get fuq'ed. I'm shocked none of the big names out there don't mention this crucial fact.

Does anyone even sell a kit to correct it?

I can see this being pretty easy for the early 2000's cobra IRS setups since the diff bushing is parallel to the ground and the diff just sits on top of them. For the S550 it'll be a little more difficult. Is the pinion angle for the S550 platform not good from the factory like the early cobras were?

I do remember reading how the diff bushing for the S550 can actually shift a little after hard launching. Companies have supposedly made a fix for that with aftermarket diff bushing kits. Makes me wonder if a lot of S550 owners who have vibration problems with 1pc driveshafts (apart from DSS shafts since the issues with those seem to mostly be machining mistakes) just simply have bushings that have shifted and changed the pinion angle

The pinion angle on the S550 is perfect with the factory 2-piece driveshaft. With a 1-piece you'll have to make adjustments at the trans, & rear subframe. I for one would not daily a 1-piece driveshaft.

Most don’t realize that the differential pinion yoke isn’t centered in the chassis. It is placed center right of trans output. I can’t remember the exact offset but .750” comes to mind.
I’ve racked my car on a certified alignment lift that’s leveled to near perfection and the only thing needed was to drop the trans crossmember .250” to .375” of an inch (about exactly what KellyTrac figured out long before I verified my car) This was all done with calibrated digital levels and some simple trigonometry.
With the factory Diff. offset the driveshaft is automatically set for proper U-joint angles.
I know Fulltilt is a great reference but Ford got this car right with the placement of the differential. There’s really nothing to alter with either the rear cradle or diff. housing.

For reference if anyone decides to install crossmember shims the factory bolts are to short for full thread engagement. The factory bolt measures long enough, it’s the lead threads that are to shallow for safe fastening when using .250 or greater shims.
