I am actually looking for the most base package to keep weight down, plus I never was a man of features when it comes to cars (I actually prefer the smaller base screen). Even base these cars come with stuff that was only on premium cars not too long ago. The car is plenty comfy as is, especially compared to my ZX3 Focus. In your search for your mustang get the 51A Premium package, it includes driving lights, power driver seat with lumbar pump, nice 18" wheels and a small bump spoiled. The mods I installed are.
K&N ait filter (stock box) $55.00
Unleashed Tuner 93 $399.00 (removed limiter 7400 rpm's, auto trans shifts hard and quick, only use sport mode, paddle shifting)
SK throttle body spacer $120.00
JMS throttle pedal MAX $270.00
(this is a must, increase voltage to throttle pedal sensor, makes the throttle pedal very quick no lagging from a stop or idle 650 rpm's all the way to top end)

-I think I am going to go with the AirRaid unit with the plexiglass lid, I will look into other options as well.
-Spacer sounds good, are there any intake manifold spacers available as well? The more plenum volume the better.
-I think I will just go with Torrie's 93 oct tune instead of the MAX Anti Pedal Lag.
I have a few other mods in mind as well such as coppers (6hp Dyno proven gain in Duratec Focus, we'll see if it helps the Mustang as well), velocity stack cone filter, TB, 3" exhaust, long tube headers, cat-delete. I would be shooting for low to mid 13's. Though really I just go to the track for trap speeds to see if I gained power as that always gives me satisfaction as I know I'm not a professional driver. Thanks for the tips guys.
Would not be looking into a steeper gear initially, would like to see what I can do with the stock 3.15s first. I may look into them in the future.I test drove mine in january, it was 5 degrees F and had all season tires on asphalt. The car's rear end was all over the place and i was laughing like a kid.
I knew right there it was the car for me.
Are you thinking about getting 3.55 gears?
