Don't worry about it too much mate. I was getting all worked up with all the horror stories but my car arrived and is just about perfect.I have to admit, I am starting to waver.
Delays, dodgy transmission (manual), body alignment issues, no one knowing what they have actually ordered, Ford either not knowing or witholding information, forgetting to corrosion proof the cars so getting someone at the docks to spray the undersides, lots of US stuff missing on the export cars etc etc
Spent the evening looking at SN95s on eBay, thinking how much money I could save and still have a fun car. Even tempted by the more expensive 60s cars.

Got another reply from Flat Rock after telling them I have an order number but no VIN;
"Hi Kristian,
I’ve been told that if you don’t have a VIN number yet for the car, then it hasn’t been scheduled to be built. I know you might think, “Well if I’m 87th how is it not schedule yet?” but please remember that we are now building RHD Mustangs for countries around the world. I’m so sorry, I’m not able to track your car’s scheduled build date without the VIN. I’m not sure how a VIN number is created or how long that process takes, but I believe your car will receive one in order to be scheduled for build. Keep checking with your dealer. Once your dealer receives that information please email back and I will do what I can to track it for you. I’m so sorry I can’t provide more information. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help."
The average ford gets a vin between 10-14 days before build.. Can be three weeks before. I have a mustang customer that got a vin in late July that is being built next Monday and yet mine is due Tuesday and had no vin Monday.. Haven't checked since but as you due October mate don't hold your breath till late September for that. It is good to hear the plant actually gave a good reply unlike the usual ford PC bull s***!
If theres one good thing about the americans (bar the mustang) its customer service. We are terrible in this country in comparison
Sorry to hear about your cat :(Unfortunately my cat had to be put to sleep but your post did raise a smile, ta.

+1Sorry to hear about your cat :(
Trust me, there is no way this car is too noisy stock. It's quieter than my XK, I was shocked how quiet it is.Don't tell me they think it too noisy.
Have they not heard an Aston Martin.
This really is turning into a big fucking joke. I originally went with the official Ford import as I thought it the safest way to go. Mmmmmm
Chinese whispers 101Boys and girls, Calv just said there was a delay due to the exhaust, no mention of it to do with noise so no point going down that road yet

4th August car was built
5th - 18th August car was in the upfitters
18th August car was released from upfitters
19th August this from Deysha "It should get released from the plant and put out to await shipment soon"......waiting games!!
Must have been resolved. There are V8s in mainland Europe now.Chinese whispers 101
In theory, same as the UCL / early deposit payer's cars. Which is currently beginning of November possible late October if we're lucky.Anyone know the ETA for dealer cars? I think they all owe us a test driveas much as I would love the first Mustang I sit in to be mine, if there is a 2 month gap between a potential test drive & delivery then I think I will have to do it!
