I've read a lot in the forums about oil usage during break in. They even mention it in the owner's supplemental manual. My '20 GT350 is at about 500 miles and I checked the oil today. It's full, and haven't noticed it burning any oil. Granted, I haven't yet tracked the car, but I have done some "spirited" driving. Any one else having such luck?

Same. I was checking it constantly with all the people saying theirs was drinking oil. Had the first oil change done with just over 900 miles and there was no noticeable loss of oil.

I think youā€™re experiencing what the majority have experienced - minimal to no oil consumption. Congratulations!!

You still need to use good judgment and get to know your particular car. You want to check your oil on a regular basis and catch any use early if it does start to happen.

There have been a few whoā€™ve posted they found their GT350 5 or more quarts low. If they checked it on a regular basis, maybe they could have added when needed and it wouldnā€™t have been such an issue. Itā€™s a sure way to kill a 5.2.

I have a '20 HEP R with 1K miles on it and its barely burned any oil, the level on the dip stick is still right below the top circle. And I drive the piss out of it all the time.

2020 here with about 2300 miles. So far, zero oil consumption with the oil level just below the top circle on the dipstick.

I broke the engine in pretty much by Ford's recommendation, performed its first oil change around 1100 miles, and since Day 1 have driven it easily until the oils come up to operating temps before I get happy with the throttle. I haven't tracked it yet, but I do enjoy some spirited backroad driving and city cruising.

Not saying those steps have anything to do with my lack of oil consumption, but just letting others know how I've treated the drivetrain and this is where she sits thus far.

In my first 18, it was burning oil at 4K miles. The 19 gen 2 motor that replaced it did not. I just picked up another used 18 with a original gen 1 motor and itā€™s got 42k miles on it. Iā€™ve driven about 1k on it, no oil usage. If it was going to take a shitter, it would have done so by now. So buying with 42k miles did not concern me. Oil usage seems to happen with a 5 to 10 K window.

1st motor replacement had 3 owners prior to my ownership, 2nd motor replacement has given me the opportunity to see an engine without any oil consumption.

2nd motor
street 500mi check (reached 2nd dot)
street 1000mi check (reached 2nd dot)
street 1200mi check (reached 2nd dot)
track 1500mi check (reached 2nd dot)
conclusion: no oil consumption

I put over 30,000 miles with some track days on my 2016 GT350 and it did not consume oil.

Almost 17000, no oil issues.
Almost 14,000 miles on my 2015 GT350 and absolutely no oil consumption to this point.

Also have owned 4 R models and had no oil consumption in my 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020.

Having said that I recommend that everyone continues to do their due diligence with respect to checking their oil levels on a regular basis as that is a very easy mechanism for continued peace of mind.

I still follow the manual and check oil level after every fuel ā›½ up. The milesā€”I canā€™t stop driving the thing šŸ˜‚.
