I am really hoping my oil pressure sending unit it faulty. Started the car up today the gauge read 90 psi, dropped down to 30 at idle, under light acceleration went back to 90. Car was warm.Anyone out there see this before?

My oil pressure sending unit went bad within the first 1000km. Fixed under warranty. I would bet that your sender isn't working. Ford sending units have never been very good.

Most likely the sending unit based on it's behavior. Time to visit the dealership for a warranty repair.

is there no inbetween? My gauge on a cold start hits 90 and as it warms up drops to about 22-25. Under acceleration it will ascend up into the 60s when warm if i recall correctly.

Unless its either 30 or 90 it seems like it might be operating correctly?
