You have 140,000 miles on the car, and now you're asking what oil to run?

I'd suggest sticking with whatever oil has gotten your engine to 140,000 miles. That's a pretty safe bet.

True but I don't know I always want to stay all motor for the sake of relability, I am porting my heads and throwning in 13;1 pistons for a all out NA build and wanted to get another option I have simply been running amsoil 5w-20 change it maybe every 5k miles or when the car says to honestly

Stick with what you’re doing, but 5w-30 seems to be the way to go nowadays since Ford officially switched to it in 2021.

Just to be clear - you've been running a stock bottom end to 8500 RPM and it has 140k?

That's solid. Mind sharing if you've had any major issues in that mileage?

As far as oil - 5w20 or 5w30, either one.. brand is user preference but most here back Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum.

Yup all stock internals. When I did the cams I threw in better valve springs along with the stock valves to hold up to it, I also did OPG's and replaced the entire valve train with new components and did GT350 timing chains that was at 100k miles or so. Other than that I have not touched the internals and issues, before this I was "FBO" 18 mani, all that and had a PCM go bad which caused one of my coil packs to constatnly be fired and melted it, for that I had to go to ford luckily I have a connect in one of my local dealers and I got a used PCM from ebay and they reprogrammed it to my car and overlooked all the mods and previous tune and that's it, other than that it has been 100% reliable, and it's my daily.

Yeah, I'm with everyone else... You don't need advice about oil at 140k miles. Keep doing what you're doing.
