my hood had indents where they go so wasnt any choice

ever get this figured out? mine is doing the same thing

i know this is old but did you ever figure out what it was, my car just started doing the exact same thing

Granted I know it’s not the legit Shelby hood but on my gt hood I just did cam locks and love it so quick and easy I’ll get better pics of it in the day light since I finished up at dark but here’s some

Ok here’s some pics of my underside, didn’t get to adjust the one yet but this should show ya what was needed to work and yea it’s a 17 so I’m not sure how 18 and up would go also did a lil project to make the rain tray easier in and out and did cam locks on it

haha sounds good and part of how i got them functional is the way the ikon hood is build had a flat spot right where they come thru where as some other ones i looked at didnt which is another reason why i went with it, ill try and get some good pictures of it up later tonight or tomorrow

hood pins are in and functional, i just have to adjust the driver side down a touch, ill get some pics of under the hood side when i adjust it hopefully tomorrow

Well here it is all done! I have to tweak the hood pins a little but I’m very happy how it came out, I’ll get some better pics soon

Well hood got here today and it was packaged really well, can’t wait to get it on, tried to upload a pic but from my phone it says the file image is too big I’ll have to resize it at some point

hey right down the street from me! I'm in Springtown. as far as just a tuner id talk to DSG and they should be able to hook ya up pretty good, they're on Facebook or if ya need i can find their number and send it to ya.

i went with the ikon one since i could get it on amazon and have a good return policy if needed, also from looking at the under side of the hoods at least from pictures online the ikon one should work with the real hood pins so im going to give it a try and see what happens, will update pics...

well i think im going to try the ikon one that i can get from amazon for a little cheaper than the vicrez one and hope for the best and at least know that amazons return policy is good, then the only thing will be seeing if the hood pins work on the 15-17 style haha

@JustSomeGuy from your profile picture looks like you have 18+, i wonder if the 17 hood the pins will work due to less angle we have than yalls

so real ones from quick latch don’t work at all? Glad I’m seeing this before ordering it all because I was def ordering the hood latches from quick latch as well

definitely came out good just what a head ache to get there lol
