So it's an absolutely beautiful day here in Central West Coast of Florida. After 2 months of doing a new roof and painting the house (not me, roofers and painters) and a ton of other honey do tasks, I thought today, I am going to take the car for a spin, blow the cobwebs off literally. It's a 2019 GT PP1 6spd with 2300 MI on it. Never a problem except putting a new AGM battery in about 8 months ago as the original died. Started and drove several times after that with no hint of a problem. I get about 2 mi from my house on a main road and I'm slowing almost to a stop at a red light when the car dies, "Traction control not on" light in the small display. I try to start, it cranks, but does not fire, several other lights come on. Almost sounds like it's out of gas, but there is 1/2 a tank. I'm was able to get it in the turning lane and continued to try to start. No luck. A few times the starter would continue to crank even after I stopped pushing the start button, I had to hit it again to stop cranking. Anyhow its on its way to the dealership to see WTF is wrong. I'll godown to the dealer tomorrow as its close to work, I expect they might not even get to look at it yet, I'm not going to hold my breath. I keep ya'll posted on this exciting event as it unfolds.

Forgot to add, a big thanks to THE FHP Trooper who pushed me into the local shopping center about 50 yards away, he was wheezin' when he was done, I offered to buy him lunch at the pizza place where he pushed me, he just smiled and said no Thank you and left.

Bad gas maybe? Shouldn’t go bad after 2 months though. Keep us posted, hopefully it’s relatively minor.

Had it towed in to service this issue, plus a recall #22S37 for a PCM software update. This took a week, but I didn't have an appointment. Should have been clairvoyant enough to know the car was gonna crap out without warning. Work order says good to go, I pay my $100 deductible and I'm om my way back to work. 4 miles up the road, I start to loose power, "Traction Control Not On" message comes up on center display again, also the wrench. Fortunately their was a turning lane from the fast lane, I dove over (coasting, engine shut down), crossed the other 3 lanes which fortunately had no traffic and coasted to a business that had really nice shade trees to park under while I called the dealership to get it hauled back. Took about an hour, got my rental Exploder, and was on my way.
Same exact events that happened in the first breakdown, no warning, just died completely

. This would have really sucked had I been on the Freeway here. Photo attached to show the work order. Job #1 is the recall, Job #2 is/are the breakdowns. I need to have him add that this is happening while driving, not simply trying to start it.

Man that sucks. Looks like they replaced the fuel pump control module the first time. Fuel pump could be going bad, could have a bad relay or frayed wire/wire harness (assuming it’s throwing the same code this time). The code is for fuel pump control module circuit open as an FYI. So something is causing the ECM to think the circuit is open and is throwing the code. Unfortunately that’s about the extent of my knowledge on it, maybe someone else can provide more info.

Probably a chafed and shorted wire based on my experience and 3 warranty repairs for the same.

I'm thinking a bad harness/wire as well. Not sure really how much time they really spent on it, hopefully they will look harder this time 'cause I will keep bringing it back and using their rentals. It's the instant dying on the road with no warning that ticks me off.

They did do a "wiggle test" on the connector, that probably took a couple hours.:frown:

Where was the car stored? Any chance mice might have gotten into the car and had a soy based snack and shorted out something. I'm just saying from experience.
