I bought two of the Offroam Vent Holders through work for my 2022 F150 XLT work truck, and I use them daily for both my work and personal phones, and I absolutley love them. I got the MagSafe charger to hold my iPhone without any clamps or anything, and they hold really well. So I've been wanting to buy one myself for the 'Stang, but never got around to it because with the MagSafe, it's about $120 which isn't cheap for a phone holder.
Well it was recently my birthday and my gf surprised me with one, and I love it! Holds very well, and I highly reccomend it if the price doesn't bother you, and you use an iPhone with MagSafe.
It's too bad our Sync 4 doesn't have wireless carplay, because in my F150 it does, and I just plug the MagSafe itself in and have it wirelessly charge and do carplay, but on the Stang I don't even plug the MagSafe wireless charger in; I just run a lightning cable up to charge the phone as I use carplay.
Either way, it's awesome!

Don't think that will work with my phone and the otter protective case .

But they do have a non-magnetic mount option as well, which I've been considering. I am impressed with OffRoam's engineering and quality based on what I've read. My son has an 2018 Expedition (similar to F-150's interior) I've considered gifting him with, as I believe their design is robust and Ford's vents are well located for phone visibility.

and i can vouch for the '18 expo, a manager at work has a 2018 expo XLT and I got her the clamp style one for her S22+. She loves it.

I have the MagSafe holder also. I just use a MagSafe case and it works great. However it does rattle the vent a little when hitting bumps in the road.

Problem with magnetic ones is that with these high temps lately, the steel plate unbonded from my phone jacket. Just slid right off...

Just get a wireless carplay adapter so you don't have to hook it up all the time. The offroam is great, I put a 20mm ball on it so I could hold my OBD2 monitor. It does rattle occasionally in this heat!

I don't like the vent style holders. I've seen them destroy the vent. I also don't like the old CD mount or the kind that take up cup holders. Nor do I care for a magnet mount as they often interfere with wireless chargers.
I much prefer a mount that is designed to be attached behind a dash trim piece that allows me to use whatever holder I want.
I'm currently using a Proclip mount and an iOte automatic wireless holder/charger on a ball.

I just plug the phone in and put it in the cup-holder.

Don't see the point in anything else. Especially sticking it to the damn dashboard.
