Well, There's some new stuff since I left lol. I need to find that shadow under the Speedometer. It seems to be a deal breaker for live wallpaper. This month I might work on an overclock and modding the brain.

PS: The group buy ends this weekend guys! I'll try to talk with the manufacturer if he's still okay $600 for 5 units. I needed at least 8 units. I'll see and try my best if nobody wants to get in.

2015 GT Premium Tesla install

Where are we at with the install into GT Premium cars? I know we were waiting for a cable to make everything work. Is that still true? Patrick said he had some cables being shipped so I believe him on that. I've had my unit over a month and waiting for the cable to start the install. I don't like ripping apart the dash more than I have to, always break those damn tabs.

I have been emailing him pretty much every 2 days for an update. He emailed me in the middle of the night last night to tell me he only has 3 cable sets (which is fine, because that's all we need, right? You, RVK, and who's the third Premium Owner?)
I asked when he is going to send the cables, but it'll probably be the middle of the night tonight before he answers.

Also, it looks like the Premium cars will lose use of the USB cables in the car, and will be replaced with the USB dongles that can be run to the glovebox (or wherever else you want.) I know one of the cable ends has tabs on it, and it may fit in the factory dash location, but not the armest.

We need someone with a premium to do some testing, the cables are just mini USB, there has to be a hub somewhere to run 2 ports off 1 cable. This really shouldn't be that hard, find a super small usb mini cable that can fit the stock cable, then have that convert to a usb male to fit into the ports going to the HU!

It would have to be mini-USB Female to USB Type A Male. While not impossible, I'm sure such a cable exists. The issue is, finding where the two USB ports in the premium terminate behind the unit if there is only 1 USB cable there.

Sorry....I've been a little bit sour about this whole deal. I moved my schedul around so I had time to screw with it, then find out I can't, and that pissed me off. I feel he has handled this very poorly, I've had this unit for almost a month now and can't do anything with it. He's lucky his ass is halfway around the world...

It DOES matter where it terminates. Unless the car has a built-in USB hub that routes traffic to both ports, there's another spot that needs to be found to re-use the existing ports. You can't connect 2 devices at the same time on 1 cable, even if it is a Y-Cable.
