Wow, just took 20 mins for Kingroot to root. About 20 mins to download a 17mb file too. I dunno if its the unit, or my router but this thing struggles to get good reception. My phone shows good signal, the Tesla shows fair. I downloaded kingroot at an average of 20KBps. I'm about 30 feet from my router.

I made a video showing the process, but I dont think I'm going to post a 20 minute video of almost nothing happening.
Yeah, these things are definitely better with a WiFi Hotspot in the car. I have to be parked outside of my bedroom window, with 1 door open, a foot on the sill plate, a hand on the roof, one leg on top of the window, and a finger in my ear to get reception from my home WiFi.

I am looking for a longer wifi antenna so I can put the wifi up by the GPS antenna.

Hahahahaha. I found my own solution, park next to my house and that barely made it better. My router is just behind that window my car is close to.

I'm running into issues following StangATXs guide on replacing Kingroot with SuperSU. The directory that his MRW file is looking for doesn't exist in my directory. In the SDCARD directory, I have a "com.Kingroot.kinguser" folder with a "e_config" file in it. The MRW script is looking for "/system/app/kinguser". I'm not sure if Kingroot failing the 1st time, then doing this 4 attempts thing before it finally worked caused different files and different directories to be installed.

Error messages about directories for KingRoot not existing, and other file paths not existing.

Here are the files I have when searching the internal storage for the word "king"

After the terminal errors out, my browser pops up with a feedback site for Kingroot.

Having the same exact issue as me? If so, I assume that KingRoot changed some file names around and the MRW script just needs updated.

Though, when I go to the System->apps folder, I show nothing with the name "king" in it at all.

Yeah, I think Kingroot has multiple different root methods and depending on how it roots it may or may not work.

Some errors are normal. It's looking for many known path that KingRoot used. If KingRoot isn't in your app list anymore and you see SuperSU install you should be good to go...

What kind of routers do you guys have? Ones provided by the internet companies? Cause I'm in a 2nd floor apartment with the router in the middle of it, and my car outside in the parking lot still pulls an easy 3-4 Mbps when downloading from the app store or anything online with my home wi-fi.

I have a home grade DLink router. Just upgraded the firmware this morning and have confirmed WiFi works great far beyond areas that no Mustang should be.

Kingroot is still in my Apps list and SuperSU is nowhere to be found, but in your MRW folder.

I have a forward facing camera installed under my front spoiler to watch for curbs to avoid tearing mine up. I can't get the camera feed to work for anything but the INPUT plug at this time. I was hoping it would work on the CAMS button, but sadness.
@WavnAtCha Quick question... I was playing around with my unit on the road lol. I saw in advance option you need to enabled Front Camera (Did you try that?)

Notice the SuperSU apk install gets killed?

The script fails for some reason with some kingroot method

I'm surprise it doesn't work with you... I know ranger11x got it working properly. I wonder what he did that's different.

I assume that Kingroot rooted my unit by some other means than Rangers. Kingroot had a root failure and started doing this "request 3" then "request 4" thing. So maybe it was applying random methods for root until one worked. This root method being different than Rangers and the MRW. I did make a video of me rooting through Kingroot (was going to make a how-to), its long and boring, but will show exactly what happened.
