Tapping into 12v on the wiring will cause it to be on constantly.Same, HVAC is in Fahrenheit, outside temp in the status bar is in Celsius.
Anyone that's good with wiring that still has their unit out, could you locate and take a pic of a power and ground wire within the unit itself that I could tap into so I can hook up a small section of LED strip? I don't want to run a wire to my fusebox.
I think he's on 5.1.1 but the older version of the one I'm hosting. Or it could be a glitch I don't know. I found the Temp settings in the code and I thought it was for the "Outside Temp" turns out to be for the HVAC issue he had. I think we need the MCU img...My HVAC temp was already in Fahrenheit.
If I could tap into wiring on the unit, would it only turn on when the car is on?Tapping into 12v on the wiring will cause it to be on constantly.
I think it's people not understanding/not following directions.Too many people are wildly updating... I think we should pull updates and Updated APK'S until everything is stable.
Time issue, Settings, More settings, time and date, set your time zone.So here's the issues I'm having so far (this week). Maybe someone knows the answers.
1. I went to the settings in Nova launcher and changed from Celsius to Fahrenheit and it won't save. Any ideas how to save?
2. Time settings won't save. Always shows 3 hours ahead. Tried every type of time setting and it just won't save.
3. Can't locate any setting to change the speedo to MPH.
4. Background completely changed after messing around in Nova launcher, won't change back. See pic.
And if you mess around in Nova launcher, don't click on "positive" for screen settings, it causes you to click on the opposite end of the screen to where your finger is at.
Hope this helpsSo here's the issues I'm having so far (this week). Maybe someone knows the answers.

Did you shut your car off and open the door and close and turn back on?
2. Time settings won't save. Always shows 3 hours ahead. Tried every type of time setting and it just won't save. I had to change in the more settings (android settings)
3. Can't locate any setting to change the speedo to MPH. (In settings menu)

Thanks, I'll give all that a try. I have the 5.1.1 update, but the one I got from you before the update on the StangATX website. I'll give it a shot. Thanks again.Time issue, Settings, More settings, time and date, set your time zone.
If you can't change to MPH you're not on the Feb 2017 update.
Background is because you selected "Show Speed" to OFF. Turn it on.
0608 for the AC and On/Off button. The next size up for the toggles. I was able to use the 0608 LEDs on the toggle section, they're just smaller and harder to work with.Back at home and I unpacked my unit. A screw was loose inside that held the screen in place, but it was easy enough to fix.
Q: what SMD LEDs did you guys use to replace the green ones with?
Also: did anyone end up using a dashcam with the unit?
So, back to my question and thanks for answering my noob wiring questions. If I tapped into 12v within the unit itself, the LED strip would turn on when the unit is on, correct? It wouldn't just stay on...I would think.PatrickHenninger said:Tapping into 12v on the wiring will cause it to be on constantly.
