0608 for the AC and On/Off button. The next size up for the toggles. I was able to use the 0608 LEDs on the toggle section, they're just smaller and harder to work with.



So, back to my question and thanks for answering my noob wiring questions. If I tapped into 12v within the unit itself, the LED strip would turn on when the unit is on, correct? It wouldn't just stay on...I would think.

I think tou meant 0603 for the buttons. The unit always has power. It's either replace them, or tap into a keyed fuse.

Right, so 0805 for the toggles and 0603 for the buttons? Wonder if the 0805s will work on the buttons, otherwise I might leave those or just remove them.

I got my unit back up by using buttons on the steering wheel swc,
The 3rd app from the bottom is what I Uninstalled, i think thats the original launcher.

M button on the right side where volume buttons are.
It looked like unit was booted so once i pressed it, it switched to home screen and gave an error that some system app couldn't launch. After i installed s550 launcher from stang site its working OK.

Ah, okay, I thought you managed to get it into recovery. Inwas excited for a minute. Yours was booting, but couldn't run the launcher... I'm tracking now.

I have hit every possible button combination known to man. Recovery mode is a lost hope.

Time issue, Settings, More settings, time and date, set your time zone.

If you can't change to MPH you're not on the Feb 2017 update.

Background is because you selected "Show Speed" to OFF. Turn it on.

Feb update solved the MPH issue and Fahrenheit saves now, thanks again
No matter what I do, time settings won't save. I've had a few people mess around with it and they can't get it to save. It shows the current time when the screen that shows the bootscreen option pops up, but once I choose any of the bootscreen options, it automatically sets it to a different time. No biggie though, I'll just set it everytime I'm waiting for my car to warm up and eventually figure it out.

Messing around in Nova launcher, I've found a few different home screen image settings and boot screen images. Not sure what the name of the setting it was, but it was all in Chinese. The different home screen image buttons work. I posted a couple pics here. I'm wondering if the i5autohaus "vipertech" radio image is accessible through NovaLauncher. I'll mess around later when I get home, but at least there's hope of changing the orange mustang background.

Yeah, won't work there too. Just shows the current time when it shows the boot screen options.
