Rooting isn't an obligation it's just if you really need it and don't wanna wait for my custom ROM you can just replace the APK that I updated. I make custom ROM to make it easier for everyone to have the bugs fixed without hassle

I have a friend that lives in Lousiana. I went all the way to New Orleans a couple months ago My wife & I spent some good time over The custom ROM is pretty easy to install. You download the zipped folder on your computer then inside that folder there's a file called "update.img" or "update" if you didn't ask Windows to show the file extension. You copy that file at the root of a USB key formatted with FAT32. Start your HU (Engine ON to don't drain the battery and mess up the flash if the battery dies). Wait until it booted all the way then insert the USB and wait for couple secs. The HU will prompt to install the update. Once the update is done wait until the HU is completely rebooted then remove the USB Key.

Just popped in to see if anyone has had time to play with it yet. I get my car back this weekend and if it's nice out up here I am driving the shit out of it, screw this Tesla install for now! lol

My install was successful this evening. Thanks for the info provided by you guys. My unit came with 6.01. I might just run it as is for now. It's very smooth just the units which aren't correct. I know there is an update for that. I can't find a USB stick right now so I can't really bother with it.

Also. If I missed it. Is there somewhere to change celcius to Fahrenheit? I found where to change it to MPH. I assumed we needed to update for that.

The front camera? I mounted it just above the lower grill, ran the cables back, under the airbox, up the passenger side, and through the grommet in the firewall, then under the carpet behind the pedals, and up to the back of the radio.

It's Kitkat actually. It says 6.0 but when tapping the version the K and KitKat logo comes up.
