They are real stickers but there are a few things you can do to make it easier to pull them off.

- bring some magnetic vinyl from an arts and craft store to apply them to and make them reusable. This only works for the ones that you put on steel body panels though.

- bring some wax along to apply to the body under where a sticker would go. Don't wipe it off and simply place the sticker over the wax.

- put the sticker on your pants leg a couple times to get some lint on it and reduce the stiction.

Put a small plastic scaper in your tool box to help apply stickers smoothly to the car or vinyl. Also bring some razor blades to trim things as needed.

Thank you sir ! Very helpful ! Is the windshield one (Tirerack) easy to take off ? It looks cool and makes the car faster ;-) but I would like it rather off for now...

You're welcome! The Tire Rack sticker is easy to get off so no worries. It goes on the windshield so just use a razor blade to lift a corner up on each letter and start pulling it off.

Do you guys think a base GT non-PP could be made competitive with a PP car in STU/STP? The way boardkat's GT looked and ran at the Packwood CT is inspiring me to look at the possibility of a ST prep.

The thing I don't like about the GT PP in Street or ST are the large Brembo brakes, which limit setup to 19s and above or expensive 18" custom wheels. One thought I had was get a base GT and do an option package conversion for the chassis bracing and pillow ball control arms, minus what you'd throw away anyway for ST but then I noticed the brake kit allowance for ST doesn't allow for smaller than stock rotors. Dang.

So, getting down to nuts and bolts is it doesn't look like you can add the upper triangulated strut tower brace or lower chassis brace from the PP to a base GT. Also, the pillow ball control arm doesn't look like it would be within the bushing allowances. I wonder how much of a difference that would make in concert with all the other ST allowances. Any thoughts on that?

Certainly for ST & SP. Most of the PP upgrades can be equalled or bettered in ST or SP spec by aftermarket parts. Most you would be replacing anyway for a full prep car. In autocross the big brakes aren't an advantage, and the 3.73 gears are a disadvanatge. Now Street is a different issue, I think a PP would be the choice there because of the suspension & frame reinforcements.

I got my PP with an eye on future track use.

There are some things in a PP I would want for ST (radiator for pros, K bracing). While the 3.73s would hurt, you could raise the rev limiter to compensate for some of it. The real problem would be the best potential class, STP, in draft doesn't allow for 2015+. Now CAM would be fun, even if this isn't the best platform to start with for a hardcore build.

Got out to Gingerman Raceway here at the end of the season for a work video we shot with my car, hopefully the guys in the warmer climates can keep this thread going during the winter.

Has anyone found the best place to purchase the OEM brake pads in terms of price or what the part number is on them?
