Does Ford sell front bumper covers with applied paint? I have a scratch on my Mach 1 after unlucky movement near the wall in the parking lot, having mischievous purple paint I'm not sure I can apply it the same way factory does...

They do not sell pre-painted parts and even if they did, there are often multiple variations of a color even from the factory. As you suspect, it is going to be pretty difficult to match a color like that and will probably require some blending into the fenders.

I can't tell for certain rom the picture, but you may be able to buff that out. Did it break through the top coat?

Unfortunately there are few places where it did it inside core black plastic...

I hate that for you. That purple is gorgeous.
I would take it to a few detailers around you, some are skilled enough to blend touch up so you'd never notice it.
It's like dry wall, anyone can patch a hole, but a quality repair takes skill.

Polish it first. Start with the LEAST aggressive (lowest cutting number) polish and pad first. Then work your way up as needed.

Even if you don't have a machine and have to do it by hand, you may be able to remove 99%. Just call the 1% remaining "character".

IF it does require repaint, don't worry. A reputable shop will match it perfectly, and you'll never know.
