I didn't know where to put this question so I tried here.

I read in a different older thread on here about octane boost which I use occasionally. Some one mentioned they buy the 16 or 32 ounce bottles and put it in chemical resistant plastic bottles in 8oz size with caps to separate and ration it easily.

I was wondering if others are doing this. It sounds like a great idea as 32 oz of Octanium is way too much for what I am going for.

Let me know if you do and what brand or type you use. Also is it safe to keep in the trunk in hot California.

Thanks.

I use 1 full bottle of octanium to 10 gallons of 91 octane. Why fuq around by measuring ?
I keep mine in the garage, a sealed can of octanium will be fine in your trunk.

That’s what I usually do too. I thought I’d try half. Do you use the 32oz.?

I run 1/3 to 1/2 bottle of boostane per tank. I just grab a 32oz can and put it in my trunk if I'm gassing up that day. No issues leaving it there all day while working.

I was told not to run octane booster in these cars! Please enlighten me if I can run something to boost my octane that won't hurt my car. I have the Ford Performance Tune and run 93

I haven't heard that before. I run Octanium every fifth or sixth fill up to have a really fun tank to play with. I don't add every fill up. I have the Lund tune.

The only thing I have read on here is that it will turn your plugs and O2's orange. I may change my plugs at 40k or 50k. I also have black tips so the orange is noticeable so I clean them often.

I've ran it for 11k miles on every tank with no issues except my chrome exhaust tips need cleaned constantly.

You were told to wear a mask, and get an experimental common cold vaccination too......... :giggle:

MMT boosters don't harm a thing, and do work well.
