New to the forum and not sure if this has ever been covered but I was recently driving my 2015 Mustang gt 6spd with Roush supercharger and while just cruising along, the wrench and engine light came on and I had then lost all throttle response. Brought the car to Ford and they had to replace the throttle body and then the pcm. Unfortunately, Ford has told me that the car is still having the same issue and can’t seem to find out why. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue in the past and what was it that you did to fix the problem. It’s been going on 3 weeks now. Ford has also contacted Roush in this matter and still nothing. Please, any info would be greatly appreciated.

If it happened while driving - I would check for the following:

1) ground short caused by a bare wire or chafed wire harness that is making contact with the body, causing a short (which can damage electrical components depending on the grid they’re on). This S550 owner just had an issue and it was just resolved per his update. The Service Center findings where a harness under the car was worn through and grounding out on the chassis, which was blowing fuses:

2) Brake pedal switch failed. When this switch fails, it can cause functional and operational issues while driving. It could even prevent the car from being started. There’s a big thread on it here:

Did you ask them why they had to replace the PCM? The only reason the PCM would need to be replaced would be if it was shorted out due to some electrical issue, bad solder welds to the internal circuit board or water intrusion.

This thread has good info and findings of a M6G Member’s S550 PCM failure (which was melting coil packs):

Can they tell you what failure codes they are getting? Those codes could help with diagnostics.

Pull the air filter off, look at the MAF tube, make sure the adhesive carbonn filter element didnt become dislodged and is blocking your maf sensor under throttle. it may appear to be flat and not in the way so make sure you reach in there and look at it with your hand.
