Asking my convertible buds…

I will keep the suitcase, my car is a non active exhaust.

I want the BEST NO DRONE axleback. I will never put an x, h or headers on the car, just want a bit more growl with no dr

Borla, Ford Performance (made by Borla), Corsa and AWE are all top notch and don’t drone and they all make axle backs for verts. Borla S Type is my personal favorite.

Bought the car with Roush on it. Way to loud and raspy for my taste and also had a small drone period at 3000rpm. Then , I changed for Ford performance. wow! Not loud at all, when cuising at normal speed and accelerations but you get sound once you push on the gas. Just enough for my taste and especially the girlfriend one! A good compromise.

Does the Borla/Ford change the exhaust sound, or just give you more of the same sound? More of the same is what I would want.

The Borla definitely has its own tone, but I think a really good one that fits the Mustang well. The FP by Borla, at least to me, has a little more of the stock tone to it but is still a little different. The Corsa has a more raspy, exotic tone to it and is definitely more unique. I would put AWE in the Borla category, different than stock tone but a really good one that fits the car well.

Shame they don't make the AWE in a axle back for the 18 and up🤔

So is the FP (Borla) better in your opinion then the Borla by Borla 😝

LOL I like the Borla by Borla. Personally, I love the tone of the S type. Nice deep tone but still screams when you put your foot into it. Can’t go wrong any Borla by Borla or FP by Borla (or pancakes by Borla 🤣) in my opinion though 😎

I second the Borla S Type. I have an S Type on mine and it has an amazing tone. Not too loud either till you lay the beans to it. I did get a whole cat back though.

Ford performance by borla touring is probably a good choice for you. I ordered ford performance extremes from American muscle but was sent touring by mistake. So I installed them just to see. They sounded good. Smooth deep tone. Zero drone. But since I am in the middle of my mid life crisis. I sent them back when my extremes arrived.

I have the borla touring but the Steeda H instead of the resonator. Love it. If you cut the Steeda pipe then you can reserve the option of swapping in the resonator if you want to.

I don't believe Borla makes a Touring axle back for the 18-23 GT?

Unless you buy it as a catback?
