Don't we all. You're at a power level that no tire compound alone will provide that. Way too many variables. Pavement type, temps, oils, surface finish etc.. so tire construction has to be considered as well to get the job done

Weight transfer on a softer sidewall for the straights, opposite for the turns. There is no one stop shop. Thus many ( and you) have to accept limitations to meet 80% of their driving needs or buy separate wheels/tires.
Your right. I am just trying to hit the Happy Median between the two different styles.

I guess since I don't mix tire compounds, I will buy a full set and then just replace the rears as needed.

So you have used these on the street Boosted? As far as replacing them often, I actually plan to run through a set of rear tires each summer. Or I cannot justify owning the car which was my original requirement before I bought it. I just did not want another garage Queen.
I used them on my zl1 1le. Love the feedback. Reqlly sharp driving.
I do prefer the a052 but like u said not 19" that big (I run 18x11 square)
Again. If not just for the straight line these are really good. The cornering will be great. Braking too.
Not noisy either. (Don't expect the oem ps4 low noise tho)
Let me know your decision!

Well I am having my Discount Tire Rep trying to find them. I mean I'm having a hard time even doing my Data Log pulls WOT to 7k with TC on. I want to feel the TQ with TC off sometimes without having to worry about ditches
Im going to be a little...spicy
I will never ever stop to say the nitto 555 and Toyo 888r are not the best tires. Actually not even "good"
No one. Nooooo one. Use them on roadcourse (and with all the respect ,the ones who use them are ...slow)
That means the grip is not the greatest

There are many other options for super sticky tires.
I assumeryou don't see a lot of rain.

You need to check the "cheat" 200tw.

Yokohama A052 are the best tire right now. They are also very good in wet condition(faster than ps4) . Waaay superior than cup2
To compare in a 2min lap they are 5 second min faster than 888R

NANKANG CRS another good "200tw" tire
Slighty behind the A052 but way more size available. Does a nice job on wet too

FALKEN RT660 Slighty behind the first 2 is definitely a great overall tire.

BRIDGESTONE RE71RS Fast and grippy like the A052 the size are limited. Not the best for rain tho.

Hope this help.

Alessandro
Hey. The Nankang Sportnex CR-S are back order until May.
So What do you think of Yokohama Advan Apex Tires for boosted cars?

Hard to find tire. Have you ran Nankang AR-1 tires on the street?

M/T Street S, although I would push for the Street Rs (Different compounds heard the Rs are a lot better).

R888R is a good all around street performance tire and lots of people in the corvette and lambo roll racing scene like them.

From digs though the Street S would do a lot better especially if you can get more sidewall.

The R888R probably wont hook until you do a 60-70 roll. You can probably power through a dig and lower rolls but you won't hook.

ZL1 is probably making a lot less power than you keep in mind. My FBO e85 gt is neck and neck with a bolt-on zl1.

Tires are actually hard to come by in my size. The MT Rs dont come in a 19
What have you heard from people using the MT-SS? I have seen where they can be hard to balance and they need to be heated up before they reach optimum traction?
Thanks for your help

Question: I see people miss matching tires from the front to the back. I have always been told never mix match manufacturer or model tires for the differences in material, grip ETC can cause driving and or stability issues at high speeds.
Just wondering

Ar1 and advan 09 are a more "endurance tire" so it takes longer to warm up and be sticky. I wouldn't suggest them.
Rt660 Falken is another good alternative.
I dont have direct experience with the advance apex.
