As a owner of a '16 EB PP, after reading lots, have decided to start slowly building a bit here and there and get a tune.
Well, I heard that I should substitute the manufacture oil and filter and the plug. I got it the Denso ones. I am thinking in going with the wix oil filter and the Amsoil. My question is: How much oil is needed (gallons i guess) just for the first oil change? Can anyone send the part number of the best amsoil (going with 20/40 and most important, since i cannot find the correct part number for the wix oil filter? Should I also change the transmission oil for amsoil (if so, what is the name/code/number and amount ?Also, when you add an intercooler, do you have to put anything to run inside or is gonna use the same stuff from the original radiator?
I really appreciate any help and part number if possible. I am sorry for not been an expert in any of this...is the first of many cars that I have owned that I am starting to mod. Peace out:headbang:

You need 5.7 Qts of 5W30 motor oil, I would recommend going for full synthetic, I like the pennzoil platinum, but any top brand will be fine as long as its full synthetic. As far as oil filters I've done some research, and for a daily driver I recommend the Bosch 3330 from autozone around $7 is the best bang for your buck.

I do not recommend changing your transmission oil, especially with your skill level, unless you race the car frequently, you shouldn't have any issues with the stock oil.

Intercooler has nothing to do with radiator, simply cools the air from the turbo to the engine, google how intercoolers work to get a better idea.

Good luck modding, sure you'll be an expert in no time!

Whatever oil you decide on that meets manufacturers spec but keeps this in mind.... I would recommend only using a Motorcraft filter until your warranty is done.
The reason is Fords propensity to deny warranty coverage on engine repairs based on whatever they can plausibly blame you for causing... Like that non Motorcraft filter in plain view to the tech....
Yes.... Yes I know, if the filter meets manufacture specs then it's ok to use and shouldn't affect warranty HOWEVER... They TRY and succeed anyway. What stops the dealers from just telling you it's not covered because of xyz ? Nothing stops them. They try it all the time. What happens then? YOU have to fight, email, make phone calls, make more phone calls...talk to reps... Appeal... And then what..after weeks or months? They might have to fix it under warranty after all. But it wasn't any skin off their backs in the meantime.
