I did search and did find other post about camera staying on and talk about a delay setting. My question is different in this. When I first got the car, reverse camera went off as soon as I pulled transmission out of reverse. Now with out me changing anything (at least intentionally changing) it stays on for several seconds into me pulling away in 1st gear.

Do these settings change on their own? Is something failing? did my backup camera license expire? (don't get me started on that)

There’s a second recall on reverse camera issues. My 20 Bullitt just got checked. I wasn’t having any problems, but the service check just came up in my Ford app. The dealer asked me if the reverse screen ever went blank. Mine had not. Yours could be defective.

Check your vehicle settings on the Sync 3 screen (not instrument cluster), I believe there is one for 'rear camera delay'...

Even if you have it activated and have an instance when you wish it wasn't, a quick pull of the parking brake instantly clears it :like:

Interesting tip.
The camera also goes off at ~12mph.

Sounds like rear camera delay to me. I happen to like that feature. Comes in handy once in a while.
I agree but still wondered why it changed from immediate to delay with no action on my part.
