Good news! The dealer reprogrammed the APIM and all is back to normal. Still at Sync 3.3, and the display shows 1.18. So I don’t know if I have 1.19 because of the apparent bug in 3.3 preventing the proper version display. Wasn’t able to talk to anyone when I picked it up. Good luck on Wednesday at your dealer.
I figured they would reprogram the system. Good to know that it worked. Thanks for the update.

I know this is a small thing but the wording matters. They reset your APIM, they did not reprogram it. :like:
I have attached a pic showing the work order, that states there is an update to the APIM, and that they reprogrammed it. Based on this I don't believe they just reset it? Cheers!! :)

Agreed. Very interesting. I'd love to know what the "update" was.

Thread is getting hard to follow, so has anyone gone from 1.17 to 1.19 without any issues? I haven't had time to mess with it, but if it is going to bork my voice commands I will just wait I guess and be out of $40.

Presuming you have 3.3, yes members have gone from 1.17 to 1.19 (you know which file to check, right?). Some have not lost voice commands. Since we have no way of knowing why this is happening it’s a crapshoot. The good news is that the dealer can fix that if it happens.

Just remember to update the license file if you have one of the early sticks.

No luck for me on the Nav voice prompts. The dealer said they cant fix it. I said it needed the software reloaded. He told me they cant do that. I said BS. I will take it somewhere else.

Stupid, f-ckin dealer. That's total BS. Show them Fasteddiec's work order (post #470) and tell them that's what you "want" done. Go as high in the dealership as need be. They need to do their jobs. sorry this happened to you.

Go to a diff dealer. They can easily re flash the APIM. Sounds like they either don't know or don't want.

Just noticed you got the new calibration for the APIM (14G371). This enables calm screen and radio station logos feature on Sync3.4

But then the stupid ass dealer wins. Of course, they can do it. They're not wanting to is the issue. We have enough going on today without a dealer refusing to work on one of their cars. Sometimes it's OK to raise your voice. Only way you're going to be heard.
