Yes. I'd let you drive my car (lund tuned) if you were local. It's unbelievable how much smoother the shifts are. I was expecting it to be a lot snappier, which it is, but it feels so much more refined.

I like the SCT device because you can buy them from anyone, any tuner *can* write tunes for it (I realize Lund no longer supports SCT), plus there are a lot of X4's and BDX's on the used market.

Sure, it's not connected online, and you have to connect it to a laptop to upload your files (there's WiFi but I have never used it), but you're not locked to the tuner you bought it from.

I was just on Lunds website and they seem to still be selling the SCT x4 tuners to.. So they are giving people the choice between the SCT x4 and the New LRX device.. I think Lund is pushing the LRX because it looks like it auto downloads the Bootloader onto the laptop and auto updates everything along with automatically loading the tune onto the device without the need for an SD card.. But I couldn't tell you which one is better or easier to use to flash your car with though..

Lund do support the X4 if you already have one afaik. However they aren't pushing new ones as I believe they want to stick to one hardware device only if possible for support reasons.

The LRX you can plug into your PC/Laptop and it will sync via the MyCalibrator software. It also should do the CS036/21+ F150 unlocks automatically soon if it doesn't already.

The process for them to push a file to the cloud, customer plugs the LRX into a PC, presses 1 button and the tune downloads. Vice versa to upload a log is very simple and I believe why they and customers like it. The X4 is more manual and files have to be manually send back and forth.

Interesting SCT did offer cloud sync via their other devices however they never took off, I assume due to the 51 state legal issues and them offering an X4 that is EO certified. The cloud devices looked neat from what I could see, however I have never used one.

So I got the LRX devise yesterday on a Friday at the end of the day of course when Lund was closed.. Anyway I went on the website got the bootloader and linked it to my PC.. I kept updating it till a tune popped up on the Bootloader window.. But something went wrong and it's the weekend and no one to talk to now. So I am waiting for Monday.. I am just glad I was able to get it back to stock and relearn the crank Position sensor.. I wasn't able to do a relearn with whatever tune was on there... The Tune said Stock that was on their said, 17 GTM PP Stock... 248238-17gtm-EOP something.. And i loaded it on the car it went on and I started the car and ikt had that check engine light. So then I do the relearn and it won't relearn so then I get pissed and flash it back to the stock tune and the the relearn works.. SO IDK.. I am waiting for Monday to talk to Lund and see what i did wrong? I am just happy I was able to get it back to stock and get that check enine light off.. I am sure Lund will straighten me out this week.. This is really a first world problem but still stresses me out...
