Lund LRX vent mount

I think I am a pretty smart guy, but I can't figure out for the life of me how this vent clip is supposed to work. Anyone have an close up image of it mounted?

Looks like that lower arm sits on the lip around the vent on the dash for support, and it clips to your vent like any kind of other vent mount. I don't have one, but that's how it appears to work to me.
