New guy here. Just picked up a '17 GT PP premium in Magnetic w/ red interior.
Have always been a Chevy (gasp) guy. Had a 53 Chevy pickup, a 72 Chevelle, 67 Fairlane, 68 Corvette, 67 Chevelle, and 71 Chevelle. I bought the 71 about 15 years ago as a project. Got the bidy done and painted and was starting in on mechanical. But the project ended up mostly sitting due to lack of time and funds. Fast forward to this year, our younger son graduated college, older son got married. I wanted to get back into the car scene, but the wife hated the chevelle. "It smells like old car" "there aren't any seatbelts" "do the brakes actually work in this thing". So I started looking at the mustang, camaro, and challenger. Didn't really care for the looks of the camaro, and they're EVERYWHERE! I liked the challenger, butbut couldn't find one that I liked that was budget friendly. And I really didn't like the interior. Loved the new look of the mustang and told the wife that when all of the stuff (college and wedding) was paid for, I was buying one.
I'd been looking for a couple months, made a couple ofoffers on both new and used, with no luck. Birthday came, and wife got me a mustang hat that was grayish, with red trim and white piping. I had already had my eye on this car, but wasn't a big Magnetic fan. But when she gave me the hat, I figured it must be a sign, and pulled the trigger.
Couldn't be happier. Now she wants to drive it and wants to cruise around.
Probably going to add a CAI, tune and upgrade the exhaust some, but not much more. I haven't seen any of the magnetic with the performance package with nickel luster wheels around here (KC)
