So I just did a Stage 2 Whipple on my 2015 GT. I know the first things I’ll have to do are drive train upgrades. I’ll be doing a clutch, driveshaft and a new shifter to start, along with some of the small stuff that goes along with installing those parts.

‘My question is what clutch to go with? This car is a daily, no track at all. It will see spirited driving thru some twisty SoCal mountains, some decent freeway driving and lots of red light racing, just usual daily stuff….

No McLeod. Had one on another boosted GT, hated it. I know Mantic is pretty popular but after dropping the cash I did for the Whipple I really don’t have 2K+ just for a clutch. What other stuff can you all recommend for a clutch that would fit my needs? I’m not sure about power to the wheels, never had it dyno’ed, but figure 700. That will be my end goal anyway. Torque, I really have no idea what the Whipple puts out…550?

Hey this is Junior from N4SM. I just put a Lethal Performance LPX (Made by Mcleod) clutch in my 800whp vortech car. I am happy with it but does have a little nvh. I have heard many great things about the Vengeance clutch's. They around the $1200 range, honestly might be the best choice for that price range. Mantic would be the best choice in my opinion but like you said $2k is alot. Whipple makes good torque so you are going to need something that is going to hold that power.

I saw the LPX clutch’s too, I didn’t know they were made by McLoed. Thanks for that info. After talking to some other people on FB it seems like the Vengence will be the way to go. Yeah, you’re right about the torque of this Whipple, this thing is a monster. Any idea who carries the Vengeance in stock? Lethal carry in stock? Thanks for the input.

Look at a clutch from Vengeance. It was a great addition on my last car making about 700. If i remember correctly Parker Performance had a kit that came with everything you'll want to change while your in there.

I’m running a vengeance stage 1 clutch and I love it. The flywheel is crazy

This is probably the one I will go with...no one seems to have any though. How do you like it for daily driving?
check with beefcake racing or parker performance. And I like it a lot for daily driving.

I had zero issues using the Vengeance as a daily driver clutch. It was an improvement in every aspect. I changed the trans fluid, TB bearing, braided line, etc which all came in a kit from Parker Performance.
