Please forgive me if this was posted before. Does anyone have an idea when the new Challenger will be released? It's the oldest, heaviest and retro of the trio. Are they departing from the retro design? Most likely it will be lighter, so...any ideas??

Doubt they will move from the retro design, it's one of the best looking cars available right now imo.

Hope they do something about the weight though.

New Challenger? I was expecting that Rumored SRT Barracuda? Where's the news on this new Challenger, any links or something?

I love what they have done with it styling wise. Cut off a couple hundred pounds, lower the price, and I will be getting one.

As one who frequents challenger forums, it's looking like it will either be 2017 MY or 2018. There are a few very reputable sources on challengertalk, and it's been said for a couple years that the 2015 would be the refresh, followed by a smaller platform challenger around 2017-2018. Should be interesting...

As far as the whole Cuda thing, I doubt it. Plymouth isn't around anymore, and SRT isn't its own brand anymore either. Would be cool though.

A few years from now I would guess, it just got an update for 2015. 2018-2019 seems like a good guess. For the size of the car, say compared to the mustang, the weight really isn't that bad for what it is.

I agree, especially the '15 refresh. The interior is far far more attractive than the '09-14 model and those round LEDs wow!! Hopefully they keep the retro design and some 400lbs less.

The new interior is pretty awesome, I have a 2014 charger rt with a decently fluffed up interior and the new interior feels a lot better.

Mustang premium still beats it though :p

I really think both the 2015 Mustang Premium and 2015 Challenger interior refreshes were knocked out of the park. I love both of them. I originally had my sights on a Mustang but the Challenger kept bringing me back... And ultimately won out.

As for the next major refresh. It seems logical to let this update settle for at least another year or two since the reception was really well received. But by 2017-2018 Model years. They may need to bring a bigger refresh to the exterior. But I really really love the 2015 exterior updates of the challenger even tho they're not as dramatic of a change as the 2015 mustang was for the model vs previous years

You really can't go wrong with either  great time for American muscle.

I was dead set on the Mustang GT for months and even left a deposit on a custom build too. But after I test drove the Scat Pack Challenger. I just knew it was a better fit for me right now to make the switch to Dodge. But it took me a long time to finally decide to let the Mustang go.

I really wish I had the funds so I could have both lol.

Enjoy your ride! Still got nothin but love for the Mustangs

How would you compare the two interiors? I know the challenger is bigger on the inside but what about everything else like materials and such. Anything you don't like about the challenger?

Iknow the question wasn't for me but I own a 2015 scat pack, and a buddy of mine owns a 2015 premium gt pp.

I think the materials are pretty much a tie. I really like the gauge cluster on the challenger better, and I prefer the suede leather combo to just traditional leather. I also like the larger bolstering on my seats. I love the 8.4 inch screen with uconnect. I played with his screen and MFT and I felt it was fine for me too. However, uconnect is far more user friendly. I feel confident my mom could use uconnect and she's awful with technology. I think she'd be lost trying to use MFT.

The only thing I really think is better about the challenger would be the steering wheel. Everything else I could see going either way depending on one's personal preferences.
