I know exactly your end use.

My HPP vert is about 3900 lb as is. It's way over braked with the stock GT brakes. When my radar detector blip at 140 I'm on full ABS until 60 with zero fade or smell.

I never go stupidly fast in the Twisties to be on hard abs turn after turn because I prefer to finesse and enjoy plus I'm healthily terrified of logging trucks, animals, trees and cliffs.

I could easily get away with standard Ecoboost brakes and two piece rotors.
My car will get quite a bit of weight reduction. Apex wheels, maybe these brakes, gutted interior, steeda k member, some carbon, etc, so weight won't be that big of an issue. And with the ESS kit, I'm at 5500 elevation and only going to run pump gas. So I'd be lucky to hit 600rwhp with 120mm pulley 😆

I am also thinking of girodisc 2 piece rotors, gloc pads, and braided brake lines.
Better choice. G-loc are very good, but anything greater than a R10 you'll hate your life. They're noisy AF.

I was thinking r10 front and autocross rears.

100%. If you think your HPP ‘vert with the GT brakes is over-braked, you should try my HPP+HP fastback with the 6-piston Brembos. They are complete overkill for ANY driving short of a track day, which I never do. My biggest fear with the Brembos in a panic stop situation is I can stop but the driver behind me with “normal” brakes can’t and hits me. I’ve never dared a full foot-to-the floor stop because I think it would give me a concussion. 🤣

Haha Brembo's look good! In 1994+ cars tires are the only limiting factor in stopping distances for the most part, unless at the track.

The longevity of stock Mustang brakes is remarkable, even with hard daily use.
