I bought a use 2019 gt premium with the performance pack on it. After buying it I bought some upgrades for it including a new cold air intake. I went with a roush cold air that's ment to work with the stock car. When I bought this car it had a cold air intake on it which is a jlt cold air intake and it requires a tune for it to work. I have no clue how to get my car back to the stock tune. I've seen you can buy tuners and tune it yourself. Is it worth doing that ?and what's the best tuner for my issue? I called a deal to see if they would reflash my ecu to stock but they said no. I bought the car off carvana so i have no contact with the original owner. And it doesn't seem like there are any other upgrades beside the cold air intake. It's my first stang I'm using it as my daily don't really want to supe it up yet just want the stock car for now please help if you can thanks.

There's no point to going to a cold air intake that doesn't require a tune. Especially from a JLT that may already have an aftermarket tune (check to see if it has the reducer on it that would run with the stock tune)

you need to do some more research on mods etc and maybe get with a tuner that will suggest some mods after you tell them your goals.

Yep, waste of money buying the Rush CAI. Especially since the OP wanted to stay stock. He’s all over the map with poor decision making.

Sounds like car is out of warranty from ford so no reason for a stock tune. Pick which intake u like more roush or jlt then hit up lund and get a tune or just put the jlt back on and drive as is

my dealer couldn't flash my PCM back to stock that had a Ford Perf tune on it and I never saved the original calibration file.

Ended up removing the PCM with help of a buddy but it's not hard, and had a local tuning shop flash it back to as built stock calibration for $175.

I bought the Roush CAI because worked on stock tune and I had to go back to stock for diagnostics. Tossed the original OEM intake 10 years ago.
