What are some budget skinny wheels people are using on the front for drag setup on a non PP GT. Also will 17” fit or do I need 18”?

The 17x4.5" SVE wheels will bolt onto an S550 without any modifications? I'm currently running the base EcoBoost rotors/calipers but will be upgrading the base GT package if it every stops raining.

Would be using Cordovan front runners at $79.99 each - https://lmr.com/item/TR-CPT08/165-80-R15-Cordorvan-Classic

For the rear I'm looking at -

1994-'04 Mustang 03 Cobra wheels (17x9) - https://lmr.com/item/LRS-1007KB/1994-04-Mustang-Black-03-Cobra-Wheel-17X9

Wrapped with 275/40/17 MT ET Streets - https://lmr.com/item/MTT-024558/mickey-thompson-et-street-ss-radial-275-40-17

Front and rear would be $1299. Or I could save $540.00 and just use the factory 18x8s with 235s. Lighter and less rolling resistance than the 265/35/20s that are on the car now.

Front wheels will fit over base gt brakes. Those cordovan tires are junk. Load rating isn't high enough for a s550. U can put 80psi in em and they will look flat. Then bust a cord cause it's a junk tire. Look into the 28in MT sr radial. I recommend et street r for the rear over the SS.

I found that after doing some more research. Never heard of the brand before the other day. I've used MTs in the past so that's what I'll go with all around. Thanks for the suggestion on the Street R. They won't see the street at all so they'll be better than the SS.

If you are willing to commit to a complete set of good tires, might as well get the race star rear wheels....

You were going to mount 15" front runners on 17" wheels? Or do they make a 17" front runner?
