So I'm not too experienced with buying new wheels, but I currently have the stock 235/50/18 on my '19 GT non-PP and wanted to swap them out for something bigger.

Currently eyeing the PP replica wheels from American Muscle. 19x10 in the back and 19x8.5 in the front.

Along with that I'm looking to purchase new tires of course and was looking at the Pilot Sport 4S and the Continental Extreme Contact Sport (FRONT: 255 /40 R19 100Y XL BSW / REAR: 285 /35 R19 99Y SL BSW). Currently preferring the Contis cause of the ~$230+ price difference, but if anyone knows if the PS4s would be way better, let me know.

My question is, would this setup work easily with my stock car? Nothing changed on the car by the way. No suspension, spacers, etc. Would I just be able to purchase these and have them installed with everything else the same? And also, would I need to buy anything else such as a TPMS kit? Or would they be able to use the ones already on my wheels now?

Thanks for any help. Like I said, I'm clueless with a lot of this wheel stuff. And since I'm around the time to replace my tires anyways, I decided why go with the 235s again when I can change it out and go with bigger tires.

That will work with your stock car. You will lose the ability to rotate wheels front to back if that means anything to you. I just updated my stock '19 GT with 19x10" ET32 wheels with 285/35/19 ExtremeContactSport's and can't say enough positive things about them.... smoother, quieter, track straight and weigh 1 lb less per corner... win! That being said, I paid considerably more than the replicas you are considering, they are cast and the ones I got were flow-formed so very light.

Thanks that's exactly what I wanted to know! How about the TPMS stuff, do you know about that? Do I have to worry about buying any additional kits to keep that functionality in my car or is it transferable to the new wheels/tires?

I had new Tpms sensors installed at same time so that everything came complete for install. Even with the warnings about needing a tool they synced up on my car by the time I was ready for test drive. My winter wheels did the same.

TPMS are transferable, but they’re inside the tire at the valve stem so you have to at least partially dismount the tire to get at them.

I’d recommend a 19x10 square setup. 8.5” fronts are so skinny they’re not really worth paying for (IMHO) and the huge stagger in tire widths front to rear makes the car understeer kinda badly.

Oh really? What would I need to run 19x10s up front?

nothin, get the right offsets and they just bolt up. ET35 or ET40 are common offsets for 19x10 wheels on our cars.

Best tires for 10” square wheels would be 285/35R19, but some others fit too.

I have the stock PP1 wheels with the Conti Extreme Contact 255/40/19 Front and 275/40/19 Rear. The tires have about 1500 miles on them. I've been thinking of changing wheels but rather have these sold
first. Let me know if you are interested in working something out. I live in Tampa.

there is a dedicated 'for sale' section you might want to post in if you ever expect anyone to see/respond.

If you're gonna do 9.5 square you can keep the tires. If you want 10 square then keep the 275 and buy 2 new.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I am going to go with the 19x10 squared setup now after some consideration.

That's what I am now considering. 19x10 and +35ET along with the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 285/35R19. About $400 more expensive than what I was previously considering, but I'll see if anything happens around labor day next week before I pull the trigger.

yeah SVE flowformed wheel and the EC sports would be a really solid combo.
