Need help selecting a single 10 in box

I don't want to add to much weight.. I'm torn between the Pioneer Champion series, Alpine type R or Jl audio 10wv3.. Thoughts? Most likely be powered by an Alpine amp MRV 500 or 300. I listen mostly to rock/metal and occasional rap.

I've become a big fan of JL Audio since adding the 10" to my setup. It sounds as good, if not better, than the two 12" Infinity Kappas I had previously.

Go with a Hertz Hi energy.

Did a/b testing in my car with the JL w6, w3 and the alpine type R.

Alpine was the loudest, but the Hertz sounded by far the best, used a smaller box than any of the others and was less money than the JL.

I went hertz hi energy XL components and the hi energy subs with apline PDX amps and couldn't be happier.

250 are the 10's 300 are the 12's. the D's have dual voice coil.
