Hey there’s no debate here its just preferences and differences of opinion. We all like our Procharger set ups, frankly I'm surprised no whipple heads have come in and tried to hijack the thread. 750whp is badass power from any power adder but 900–1000 whp is serious business..Stock gen 2 motors are safe from 850 to 900 whp (properly tuned) after That you should build a motor.

4000!!! goddamn 0_0
It wont be my daily when its built, so im fine with going over 750-800... you think with a d1x thats fine to do? Obviously I know there are risks
If i may addy 2 cents, the d1x will be weak at 800whp.

I recently had my D1SC upgraded to the D1X on my ‘15 car and my experience has been that you need to spin the D1X at max or higher to see the potential of the blower and then at that point you are going make 900whp or much more. So unless you want to buy now and make those numbers in the future it’s not the right blower for you. Lucky for me my goals are 1000whp and the D1X is a bad bitch! And I’ve had everything from f1r, f1x, and currently have an f1a-94 on my SBF mustang, and this D1X is an impressive blower for sure!

Exactly. Centri blowers perform best at max impeller speed or more. Only a few are interested in an optimized combo. The remainder are happy with reaching a power number or saying they got the big blower. Thats fine too. But those folks must accept that the smaller optimized setup will be quicker.

Do u know how much power a d1x makes with a 4.25??? I do.
do tell. I’m thinking of going from my 4.5” to a 4.25” my only trepidation is can the stock motor handle it?

Wow the op has already made his choice and this thread is still going strong. Love the passion guys. Maybe we should schedule a Procharger meet this summer at a neutral location. Imagine 20-30 Prochargers whining at the same time. It would be down right nuclear..lol

Nice numbers! Definitely a no go on the stock motor. I guess I’ll stick with the 4.5 for now
what did you make on the 4.5 pulley?
