Ok usually I like to do my own research before I flood the board with questions, but I think I might want to buy these before the sales are done. So warning: don't know much about this stuff, don't know where to start. This is for a base GT

Want

  • Lower 1-2 inches
  • Best bang for buck, money IS a factor.
  • More for looks, not racecar performance, but don't know how much performance I gain with good ones, or take away with bad ones..
Questions

1) At what point does (2,3,4 inches?) lowering the car too much make it almost impossible to get over speed bumps?

2) Any brands you can point me towards or they're all generally good?

3) You guys advise to change shocks as well? Or can I just change springs?

4) Can you estimate about how much this will all cost me? The springs, or whatever else is usually standard to change as well, and install?

5) Pros and cons of lowering car?

6) Linear or progressive

Thanks :)

This pic is a Steeda Sport 1 inch drop. I think it's perfect, and nothing rubs or bottoms out.

I would highly recommend the CJ pony springs drop 1.5 front and 1" rear. The word is they are eibach springs made for CJ Pony. I had the eibach Prokit springs first, but the front in my opinion was still to high and needed more drop. The CJ Pony springs address this issue with the 2015 Mustang being the front looks slightly higher than the rear.

And yes they are on sale now best price you will find for a high quality springs.

You're going to get a lot of different opinions mostly from people who have X brand.

As a vendor I see as quite active on this forum and who posts good information backing up his products all the time (spring rates, shock dynos, etc.), I'll be going with BMR when I purchase springs.

I've run the Eibach Pro Kit on a couple cars now and have been very happy. With that said, there are rave reviews of the Steeda Progressives on this site and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend those either. The car will align like stock with the Eibach Pro Kit but I'm not sure if this is the case for the Steedas.

Just got my Steeda's in and I can't wait to put them on! If you really don't know what you want, the Steeda progressives are a pretty good mix 1.125 in the front 1 in the back and progressive gives you a soft ride until you hammer on it.

Hey I just ordered my Steeda springs earlier this week, I'm a noob to this, is there anything else I need to add/modify in addition to getting these installed?

No you should be good to go, but get an alignment 2-3 weeks after.

Spring.....

I just ordered Steeda Progressive springs, for my 2015 GT Mustang, and I know that they will be great, like all the other Steeda suspension parts that I have on my GT Mustang, I really love my Steeda Parts...

Looking forward to getting them put on my Mustang..... Thank you, Steeda

I have been wondering this also! I'm hoping that I don't need them with my Steeda Progressive springs after the install of my springs on my GT Mustang..... Thanks John

Do the Eibach pro Kit springs look like they leave more wheel gap up front compared to the rear?

nope they sit pretty damn nice, my friend had a set on his 2016 CS and they looked perfect. I had a set on my car last year and posted all review data in my suspension thread above, go check it out. my buddy just put snow tires on his car and put the stock springs in for winter. the new pro kits are for sale in the classifieds.
