Hey guys I’m new to the mustang platform and am finally getting to doing some simple mods on my 22’ GT

I want to put some spring on my car (eibach sportlines) but am hesitant because I’ve been recommended by shops and seen some forums that they can blow ur shocks prematurely although I’ve also had friends run them no issues.

if anyone has good or bad stories/ advice of the sportline I’d love to hear, and if anyone chose to do the pro kit instead, are you’re happy with them?

Thanks guys!

Technically you are supposed to match the springs with the dampers, and throwing higher rate and lower springs on the stock stuff is going to wear them out prematurely and also not ride as well.

Is it the end of the world? No, people have done it and their cars didn't blow up.

But if you want the most longevity out of your parts and the best ride, you should be replacing them when you do the springs.

I have Sportlines and had the shocks/struts changed at the same time along with castor/camber plates and a full alignment. Because of the change of geometry to the car I also had the Steeda bumpsteer kit installed as well as some other steering chassis parts and another full alignment to get the car track ready. The car handles like its on rails but it's a bit harsh riding around town but is not my daily driver. If you are willing to go all the way with a properly set up chassis and steering then do not get the Sportlines and go the way of the pro springs or offerings from Steeda or Ford Performance.

Depending on what part of FL you are in - come stop by our facility in Pompano Beach, FL - we have several test cars there with different spring combinations + our sales team is there too.

I am sure they can help find you a solution & put your mind at ease :)

Hi TJ, I'm located in soflo and I know where your guys shop is just a bit far for me but I appreciate the help!

I decided to do prokit where the fitment looks great but not so low that I could have issues especially with rubbing or scrapping and I saw the MAK performance shop car on prokit and it looked great and exactly what I wanted.

Thanks again
