I dont need cats, nor do I want them. Im looking for someone who has catless longtubes and exhaust that isnt wake the dead loud. Like I said I dont mind loud, but I dont want heard from the moon loud.
I used to have that setup before I switch to my corsa extreme now and it was stupid loud. Even when I switched to the corsa it was loud so I installed cats and it sounds perfect. I would install the stock resonator or cats and go from there if you're not wanting to buy another catback.

I saw that thread but wasnt sure if it was catless headers or not.
I started the thread. The Magnaflows are very quiet straight through muffler with NO rasp. They should be perfect for long tubes.

With one of our resonated X's in the mid-section, and some oval mufflers (not circular) out back, you should have a great tone and tolerable volume for street driving. It wont exactly be quiet, but nowhere near the volume you described before. If we can help with sizing or part numbers, feel free to contact us by phone or PM.

MagnaFlow. Its super quite. I think its prob almost as quite as stock. I removed the resonated x and it didnt really increase the volume, just made it more raspy. It sounds good just not loud enough.

Dude....you sound like me lol I've changed my exhaust back and forth 2 or 3 times now since adding longtubes and I'm still hunting for that sweet spot or "happy medium". I've got the frpp sport muffs and they're wicked loud and raspy with the X pipe and catless longtubes. I first put the Borla resonated X in and it, like you just said, also made my car way too quiet. So I went back to the X pipe but this time installed the catted lead pipes onto the long tubes and honestly, I felt that it made ZERO difference in volume or rasp. I'm thinking of just installing two small resonators in place of the lead pipes coming off the headers and trying that out with the X and frpp sports. Lord knows when but eventually we'll both find that "sweet spot"! Lol good luck brotha!

It is deffinetly frustrating. Too loud or too quite. I'm tired of spending money on exhaust lol. Let me know if you find that sweet spot. I'm done for a while.

Have you considered modding the stock cans? I've had some success cutting open motorcycle mufflers and modifying them and then welding them back together. Free if you have a welder.

After reading this I don't think I ever want to get long tubes now lol. You should bring that thing by O'reilly Auto Parts on main street (that's where I work) and let me hear it sometime. :D

After seeing this same theme in several exhausts threads, I'm thinking that whatever I buy first had better leave the longest bit of OEM pipe at the cut points!

Seriously, no LTH for me, and I will go A/B only...

Makes me reconsider headers. My setup is already ear-splittingly loud and this is my daily driver... I'd like NOT to get a headache whenever I drive to work. Thanks OP.
