I know this is after-the-fact, but the best thing to use would've been TCW3 marine 2-cycle oil. I used to put 1oz per 5 gallons in my FR-S to stop the cricket noise the fuel pump made (it's a thing with those cars). It's sticky like molasses and super slick.
Dadsreward - good luck with the...

^ Is that a typo on the page? For Stage 3 it reads "37hp and 5lbs/ft peak gains over stock" and "60hp gain at 7500rpm". Versus the Stage 2 which reads "21hp and 24lbs/ft peak gains over stock" and "40lbs/ft gain at 1500rpm".
Seems to me like...
As a former landscaper, I can tell you it is extremely easy to avoid slinging crap all over someone's car. You can't throw wet grass clippings all over someone's white siding, so you have to learn how to control it.
There are rare occasions where it is utterly impossible to avoid getting...
I actually just posted a fix for the rasp and drone issue here:
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64385
There's three videos and links to parts. Would be much easier to install the resonators beforehand.
Alright, as promised, here are some videos (in 4K no less):
Dead-cold start with gentle revs to 2K RPM:

Warm start with progressive revving - be sure to turn on annotations for RPM notes:

Slightly aggressive takeoff and then 1st gear all the way to 6.5K - wasn't able...
Well, I think that it's true to an extent. The rasp was still very much there after 3.5K miles on mine. Interestingly, it seemed to be less pronounced if it was cooler outside.
I don't. There are pics in the thread I linked, however. The resonators go in the H-pipe between the brace and the cross-over pipe.
I think that the louder the exhaust, the more of an effect the resonators have.
No, I was in a bit of a hurry. Plus I figured enough people already know what this system sounds like. True, it would've been nice to have a direct comparison but, oh well...
If you're like me, you bought this exhaust because it's the most affordable cat-back system available; even cheaper than Roush axle-back system in some cases. I wanted to love this exhaust, but honestly, the rasp and the drone (albeit minor) was annoying and just killed the experience.
I have...
Agreed. It could certainly better, but it could be worse too. Realistically, though, it's hard to argue with the price. I got mine for less than a third of the price of any other cat-back system. Even if I spend another $100 on a set of reaonators, it's still cheaper than the Roush axle-back...
Someone else posted a pic of their MBRP H-pipe with the MBRP resonators. They said the sound is deeper and the rasp is gone. This will be my next project for sure. I would love to weld them into the H-pipe but I have the aluminized version and the resonators are stainless. Maybe I'll have a shop...
There are a few ways of approaching this. First and foremost, you need to remove whatever is actually causing the smell. You might be able to get away with just shampooing the liner, depending on what was spilled.
If you don't want to pay to have the liner shampooed, you can use good...
If the Race mufflers are physically smaller (shorter) than the Street mufflers, it might be possible to shoehorn resonators into the pipes. If not, you can forget it. There simply is not enough room anywhere in the system. The only way you'd get resonators into the system is by splitting the...

I noticed that the radiator fan is coming on even when the car has been sitting for almost 10 hours. It runs for ~3-4 minutes and then turns off. Conventional wisdom says this isn't normal...why would you want the radiator fan on when the engine is trying to warm up?
Anyone else...
