So I was exploring all the options my 2019 mustang had equipped and I came across the “MyKey” selection and turned it on, now my mustang can’t go over 80mph and my volume is limited to 14. I’ve done some research online and people have been saying I need an admin key, but I only have 1 key fob. Is there anyway around this?

What you have read is correct, once a MyKey is created an admin key is needed to clear MyKeys.
I believe your only recourse is a dealer or locksmith with the equipment/software to clear all the keys from the car memory and then reinstall your existing key.
I would strongly recommend that you go ahead and spend the money for a second key at the same time.
FWIW, not all dealers mess with keys, although I believe they can. The dealer I bought from had an independent mobile locksmith meet me at the dealership and the locksmith cleared all the keys, reinstalled the existing key and give me a 2nd key. So you might ask who they use and skip the dealer altogether.
FWIW #2, if you bought your car with a CPO warranty the selling dealer is required to provide you with a 2nd key.

Unfortunately you will have to go to a dealer that can handle this. Get a new key fob made for you as well while you're there. Shit happens!

You can get spare keys from https://www.keylessentryremotefob.com/ and as long as you have 2 keys, you can use a paid version of Forscan to clear and re-add keys yourself.

I haven't tried blocking the RFID, etc but perhaps something here will help you. It also shows you how to disable it using Forscan (and not adding an admin key): https://axlewise.com/mykey-ford/

Thank you so much for the information. I was really hoping for a loophole around it, but a second key wouldn’t hurt to have :)

I’ve tried blocking the RFID, but had no luck. I’m thinking ford might have fixed this MyKey “hack” on the newer vehicles :(
