I've done the Petty Experience 3 different times. 1st time I followed another car. Next times, instructor rode with me. How does the Track Attack work ?

So when I went the morning was 3 different drills: no-lift shift & threshold braking, the wheel contact with the car on outrigger, modified small oval to stress looking through-ahead of the turns. I'm sure there are more technical terms for those drills but I'm a little slow and can't remember. The afternoon is 3 lead follow sessions with a group of 3 drivers following 1 instructor. Then you end the day with a ride along where the instructor drives you around the roval in the car you've been driving all day. Anybody feel to come in with the actual drill names or better descriptions.

I’m planning to attend in May 2024, no dates posted yet but seeing I’ve gotten a letter and their site says one year to participate from date of delivery…. I took delivery of my new 2022 Mach 1 on 6/9…
I went to FPRS May of 23 with the GT cars, had a blast, loved it!! So, looking forward to the Mach 1 course

That was my plan also, but then I found out that at the end of the season this year the mach 1 track attack is done, next year will be something else, possibly a dark horse track attack. So you better book a slot now before they are all gone. They added a few more sessions at the beginning of Nov because all of Oct is booked up.

Thanks, I’ll definitely inquire.
I literally got a letter last week thanking me for my purchase and stating I had a year from delivery date 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, that won’t make me happy. Especially considering I did there 2 day corse already and figured I’d go every year, because I enjoyed it.
I mean they produced Mach 1’s into April 2023…

but I get it, thank you again. I’ll definitely look into it

I just got home from the two day version yesterday. I thought the school was outstanding. The instructors were very engaged. 18 drivers, had to be at least 6 instructors and additional support staff beyond that. Day 1 was skills exercises as described earlier in this thread. Day two was all track and it was a ball and quite intense in the afternoon. More lead follow work in the morning trying to refine positioning on track, braking points, on/off throttle activities and got into heel/toe work as well. After lunch, lead follow and then ride with an instructor where they did a 70%-ish speed lap (waaaaaay faster than anything we were doing) while they calmly called out what they were doing each step of the way and why. They were trying to get us feel what the car was doing while we were experiencing it. "Maintenance throttle here to keep the car rotating so you have minimal steering input as you line up for your next braking, then turn in point". After that it was two 20 minutes sessions on track alone. Crazy fun. First class operation all the way. I did one Richard Petty one day driving experience in Las Vegas...this is a completely different animal. High focus on safety. Cold drinks and snacks available and encouraged all day both days. It's a super piece of work. Stretched me to my limits on day 2. Nice to meet Geoff from the forum and the other enthusiasts.

I totally agree with Alan! Everything was run first class in my opinion.
I feel the two class is the only way to go because there is so much information to absorb and this will give you more time to take it in and practice.
On my drive to Nashville today, it was like a "review" running through my mind. Alan described it well.
