I recently purchased my first Shelby. 2017 AG GT350 :’)

I was wondering if anyone has comments on 91 vs 93 or if most are simply running only 93. Almost no where around me has 91
but I was curious if anyone’s ever compared 91 vs 93 with their GT350.

Thanks!

Wow she's a beauty! Never seen gray with no stripes but I like it.

I always run 93 or better but gas is pretty reasonable in Texas.

Thank you! I had been holding out for that spec for quite some time now. I know I could have removed stripes from another but I wanted to keep the exterior spec original.

NY is really starting to push it where I am. Last time I checked, it was $3.30 a gallon which still isn’t horrible but certainly not the mid to high 2’s like last year!

What he said. ^^^

91 won't hurt anything, since the car has knock sensors and will compensate. 93 is virtually impossible to find out on the west coast, and there are plenty of GT350s running just fine out there. Enjoy!

Ahhh, she’s a beaut!

Got to post ‘er in the AG thread:like:

Congrats!!!

I run 91 non-ethanol. Terrific stuff, seems to do better than the gas with.
Thanks! I’m actually picking her up Saturday so more pics certainly to come.

Yeah 91 minimum is required. 93 if your going to the track to get the ultimate performance gains.
It is hard to consistently find 93 around here. I just make sure to find non-oxy 91.

Congratulations. I just bought my first Shelby last week.

Congratulations, you chose the best color, and most importantly.. Welcome to the family!

Everyone has covered the octane question well enough.. I'll just add, the cars really wake up with the right fuel. A tune, takes it over the top.

Enjoy!

Interesting. Will the knock sensors keep me from damaging it on 87 octane??? I am hesitant ....
