I assume it's a dealer stock order for you, correct?

I am in shock - my build date got moved up from September 15 to September 5 but COTUS says "in production". WOO HOO!!

PS - If COTUS is wrong, well, I'll cry.

That's awesome - congrats!
I spoke with my dealer (over email), and they said that concept of dealer stock arriving earlier than retail stock is false. Should I get back to them and insist that they place it as dealer stock? According to them, I was the first retail order to be placed (after 5 dealer stock orders).

I've watched the various threads of people posting about their experiences, as well as seeing what various Ford dealer personnel have posted as helpful hints. And now watching my own experience, I'd say what your person said is probably generally true for an already in production car at a model year changeover. However, in this car's case, based on what others have said, the dealer stock orders are being built now, based on what was scheduled up until early-to-mid August.

From all indications, any retail orders will be picked up after the "OK to buy" date occurs and there are no problems or schedule changes with this first batch of cars. My guess is that if your dealer changed the order type as of now, it still wouldn't be scheduled until September 11, which is the date that's been mentioned in other threads. However, the people doing the scheduling might be operating on a different timing basis (maybe they could start scheduling cars earlier, maybe later).

One thing I haven't seen a lot of discussion about is the weekly commodity reports, which certain people at the dealership (people who do the ordering) I believe can see. That would tell us if there are certain items that are constrained, which means they would not be available to build certain orders until those become available.

Maybe someone can chime in here with a better explanation than this or a more accurate picture if it doesn't get them in trouble :)

Thanks - what are you tweaking on your order? :)
PM on the way. Some shit went down but I'm getting my GT sooner than expected, maybe not every option I wanted... which is fine I only checked a couple. :headbang:

The car started out on Friday, Sept. 5, and came off the line yesterday. Next waiting step - OK to buy. After that, waiting for a truck...wait, wait :)

Sweet....your wait is almost over! My order was placed May 28th....hmmm...if it follows suit sequentially....mine should go into production in a few days.
