Thanks. Yeah I got lucky and missed the steering wheel thing. Getting a PP2 I think saved me since they won't build them when it's still cold. Still aabit surreal anyway. The good news is that it seems the majority of cars affected by the steering wheel fiasco are shipping. A few should get them this week. I hope everyone else gets thiers soon too.

Quick question because I see yours says it too, why is your transit est. days so much higher in time then your eta? My eta is April 13th-19th but now all of a sudden my transit says eta 26 days?

I think the clock starts pretty much ready to go. There is most likely some time between it coming off the line and getting into the awaiting transport for leaving Flat Rock. Should only be a few days. Mine seemed to have taken only 12 days from awaiting shipment right at the fewest est days. Both the In Transit and EDD are estimated numbers so there is flexibility built in there. Can't wait to see your pics when it comes in.

Nice ride - I had a 2011 Kona Blue GT. Here is some unsolicited advice: Clear bra the entire hood, front end, front quarter panels, mirrors, rocker panels and lower doors and the area in front of and behind the rear wheels before doing any driving beyond getting it home. Protect that paint!

Beat me over the line by a day! :like:

Pickup for me is Thursday. Since they're talking (quickly melting) snow for tomorrow, I'm good.

Thanks! Yes I am looking to do paint correction then wrap the vulnerable spots with a ceramic coating on top.

I think the train ride for mine had less stops. Glad to see you finally got it. I can say it is a great feeling driving it off the lot after waiting so long - in my case 3 months- but it was well worth the wait.

When I pick it up tomorrow, it will be 20 weeks to the day.

But, yes, well worth the wait.

A sign of the expanding level of good taste in the automotive community, no doubt.

Congrats, Kona is an awesome color!
I've been using your timeline and posts as a gauge for mine -- I ordered about 2 weeks after you and blend date/EDD have followed a similar time frame.

Thanks. I put the dates in my sig just for that reason. I think my cars timeline is about the avg without steering wheel and allocation issues.

Do you have an EDD yet?

Yup, 4/9, but it just went into awaiting shipment, so likely the week (or two) after that.

Essentially order was 1/14, blend date was 3/19, and production 3/22. Prod completion 4/2 and EDD 4/9.

Like you said, that seems to be the average wait time when there aren't unplanned events like the steering wheel shortage or whatnot. Had read about some console shortages too, but mine got marked as completed so got lucky there too.
