Isn't driving a Mustang kind of the opposite of caring about the environment (at least for the choice of your car)? :ninja:

I believe he is just genuinely kidding. I always tell my brother in law: Every time i drive the stang, a tree somewhere dies.
But its ok, since he drives a Tesla, it kind of balances it out :p

Stop complining about the mustang, u should see what my hellcat gets lol. Some days 13 some days 10. My last stang I was seeing 18 to 20. At the end of the day it's about smiles per gallon not miles per gallon.
I'm averaging about 13 as well with the supercharger

I like to make myself feel better by counting the Priuses that I pass when I drive around town. I am dead serious - on Easter, I counted 37 just in the 3 miles between my house and church.

Now, I'm seeing Teslas all over the place. We can enjoy our gas guzzling combustion engines for a few more years, I think.
It would be great if Mustangs could just consume Priuses as we pass them, leaving them empty husks by the side of the road. :D

**rant warning**

At this point, the Prius is the vehicle I absolutely detest on the road. Like most hybrids, after 40MPH, the gas engine kicks in and, although I understand the gas engines in those vehicles are efficient, hell, I pull out of my driveway faster than 40MPH. On the road, these wankers are trying to maximize their fuel consumption, so they are in the passing lane, driving at 39.5 MPH and won't get over. :paddle:

I'd consider a Tesla, 100% electric plus it actually has some balls on the road; I'm very interested to see the Model 3 on the road.

I embrace all forms of alternative energy while consuming only conventional energy at ever decreasing costs. ;)

To be honest modern cars are extremely clean. Start up is the worst of harmful emissions.

If you are really concerned about the environment, stop buy things shipped on diesel ships or stop eating red meat. Methane from cows is far more harmful than cars.

Maybe, but has anyone ever died from a head on collision with a cow fart? :)

Teslas are not as green as you think. Their batteries are made from materials that when mined from the Earth cause more issues than burning gasoline in your Mustang. Also, if you are in the northeast and other areas, the electricity you charge your Tesla with is coming mostly from burning coal or natural gas.

While I have no problem with that, as the trace element CO2 is greening the planet. Without it, we have no plants. No plants equals no food. More CO2 means plants grow faster and bigger, meaning more food and more oxygen.

If you do have a problem with the burning of hydrocarbons, ride a bike or walk, and if you are really, really worried about CO2, stop breathing.

I'm for MORE NUKES, save the hydrocarbons for our awesome cars and trucks!

I drove from my house in Lake Arrowhead CA to OC last weekend, running 90mph and getting stuck in a few traffic jams and averaged 27mpg in a GTPP....

I think I got about 10mpg heading back up into the mountains though but it was a fun 10mpg.

This. All electric cars do is change the location of the pollution, not reduce it. Nothing is free. In many cases they are less green than an efficient combustion engine. But then, I have to resist the urge to rev my motor anytime I drive near a Prius... and I agree, they are my absolute least favorite vehicles to drive near on the road.

Singapore acknowledges the actual result of driving a Tesla - not the "feels good" result of it.

I always get a laugh when people talk about MPG on a high performance car. I need to feed my beast quite often because she is thirsty but that comes with the territory. If I had an concerns about gas mileage I would have not purchased a GT.

And yes, MPG has a lot to do with driving style. If you want to drive the car like a grandma you can still get pretty decent mileage considering it is a 435 HP (stock) V8 automobile.
