kommons made a great list there! I agree what you're doing with the car is a fair, legit question. But like many will say, this car is preeeettttyyy darn above average right out of the box. Removing any thought on what you're using the car for, I say the oil catch can is a must and the hood prop is pretty goofy. Caliperfexion studs are a must the first time you remove your caliper for any reason. Perfect time to install them and it's done; never have to worry about it again.

What are your plans for the car?
Hey dude, (@moderateoversteer on IG here), I'm looking for both street drive and occasional track drive purposes!

Can’t believe no one said MGW shifter... tail light sequencer and led rear side markers...

I know it was mentioned in the first post, but those crappy two piece lug nuts will ruin your day if you pull your wheels a lot. They are just not up to the task of 150 ft./lb. torques all of the time. Get a solid nut and avoid the inevitable.

I hate brake dust. Any particular ceramic brake pads you would suggest? Can you give me an idea of the difference in feel between stock and the ceramic pads?
I don't plan on tracking the car so there would be no need to switch back and forth for me

Thanks!

EBC is coming out with their Red pads for us (Yellow also). Part numbers are out, but the pads have not hit store shelves yet. I got a guy at EBC and I've been waiting on him to get back with me with a due date and to possibly see if they'll work with us on a group buy. No word yet. I'm a huge EBC fan, so I'm partial and I'll be waiting on these. I don't know what's available right now from other manufacturers, but these are awesome. Had them on my Focus ST which had a full Wilwood brakes at all four corners. Loved them and when I say zero dust, I mean zero dust. Yes, ceramics (brake pads in general) are like many things automotive, a compromise. I wouldn't track these, but they'll handle ANYTHING you'd throw at them for street duty.

I used EBC red pads on street before, and they are downright scary until you warm them up.
I used Green stuff also, but on track they fade like there's no tomorrow. Green stuff was good for street.

I would really do some research before using them on this car. It is a much heavier car than a Focus, it will fade much quicker; plus they have way less stopping power than stock when cold.

3,220 vs 3,760 advertised curb weight...500 lbs on a street car is your definition of "much heavier"?

Agree about Green pads on the track...not quite sure why you even gave that a shot. I've had Red's on two vehicles and I think "down right scary" is not the term I would use to describe my experience. But like so many other things automotive, brake feel is extremely subjective.

Do we have another pad option that’s a good balance for the street and extremely low dust?

Unlike the other poster, my experience with EBC has been very poor over the years. I think it's likely their no ceramic pads and rotor combinations were unmatched. Usually leading to pulsating brakes. I recommended them for others and had problems. Nissan, Lexus, Ford. All different cars. Either way, YMMV.

I ordered these pads:

Item: Power Stop 16-1718 Z16 Evolution Ceramic Clean Ride Scorched

Unit Price: $19.89
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quantity: 1
Item: Power Stop 16-1853 Z16 Evolution Ceramic Clean Ride Scorched
Unit Price: $42.19

Very cheap, I believe the performance is unnoticeable for street applications. I always switch the ferodo OEMs back for track use. I don't want to risk it, considering the change in operating temperatures.

Again, not an advocate for this, just my experience.

I was looking at these because I refuse to pay astronomical amounts of money for OEM pads. As long as they're low-no dust and perform like the OEM pads on the street I may give them a try.

I thought it was tacky on a GT350 until I saw a hood prop on a $100k Nissan GTR. Yikes!
I changed it on my 2015 Mustang GT but I left it on my GT350 because I thought it gives it an old-school character.

got more info on lug nuts? I plan on pulling the wheels shortly to ceramic coat them and seems like a good time to upgrade lugs.

As for the other mods, I'm also considering the following:

FMP passenger side AOS
Clutch Spring, maybe.
Hood struts, maybe.
I already installed the foam blockers. Bought those before the car arrived, so it was my first mod, if you can call it that. Very much worth it.

This was my first mod two years ago. Noticed that they do not protect the leading edge of the fender so I got some touch up paint and the splash shields from CJ Pony parts on the recommendation of another forum member. Thanks @TL350 , you're batting two for two so far :like:

I just grabbed these Gorillas. Perfect fit. I had already mangled two of the OEM nuts. They suck

ZL1Addons had some titanium lugs at one point. Wouldn't mind trying them.
