Agreed.meh...
catless sounds the worse IMO
catted sounds much better
still wouldn't buy either lol
agree with this 100%. This sounds like a pos ricer exhaust. Such a shame for what is an absolutely beautiful car . I am so thankful this thing will run 12's with the stock exhaustI just don't see there being a pleasing exhaust note to this engine with the firing order and the "headifold" design. I want to remove the restriction that is the watermelon sized cat, but I want to keep this car quiet. I would rather it be silent, and flow, than be loud and flow. It quite simply sounds like canned ass.

Yes, it will...and I have.:frusty:

Now that you mention doing a custom exhaust, I wonder how my exhaust for my 6 would sound on the Ecoboost. The mufflers for my 6 quieted down high rpm rasp and gave it a nice deep tone at idle. Link to my thread here: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12607Yes, it will...and I have.
I have more lofty goals though! So, I am going to have to uncork it. I see a long and arduous process ahead of me to get this car to flow, but sound decent. Hell, I had 7 different setups on my 2012 GT, and it sounded good to start. I am glad I have a friend with an exhaust shop. I think after I get the cat removed and the downpipe, I will wind up going custom to get a tone I like.

I thought of bullets. I used Bullets as resonators in my 2012. I have some thoughts on how to keep this quiet but flow when needed. Now that you mention doing a custom exhaust, I wonder how my exhaust for my 6 would sound on the Ecoboost. I opened up quite a bit of power with the free flowing straight through design of the race bullet. You could do an axleback like mine or do a custom catback with a y-pipe and 4 of these race bullets. Two up near where the OEM resonator would be and then two in the standard axleback location. At the very least you should get your quiet "free" flowing exhaust.
Cutouts are a viable option. Until I hear something amazing, I am not even thinking about replacing the stock exhaust. (Downpipe Excluded)I thought of bullets. I used Bullets as resonators in my 2012. I have some thoughts on how to keep this quiet but flow when needed.
