I need to have a fire extinguisher mounted for this weekend. I bought a product called the bracketeer I was told would work with he mustang. It is supposed to mount to the seat rails, but because of the plastic trim I cant seem to get it to fit. Alternative, it says it can be mounted using the seats bolts. I ordered a TP55 bit for the bolt but I have found different sources giving different torque specs for the bolts. Does anyone know what it should be tightened down to?

The seat bolt? Just nice and tight, no need to use a 1/2 rachet and use all your weight. When in doubt use a little bit of blue locktite on the seat to body bolt and the small screws for the bracket, no need to use a torque wrench for the install imo

Yeah, the two bolts under the plastic trim holding the front of the rails. I assumed like nearly everything else on the car it would have a specific torque.

I looked it up online a while ago and came up with 21 ft-lbs on the seat mounting bolts.

This was my problem. I have seen both of those, and also 27 lb-ft. I am inclined to go with the 35 lb-ft as in the photo.
I don’t think you can go wrong with 35 lb-ft. If you haven't taken both seats out, try checking the torque on the bolts starting at 21 lb-ft and working your way up from there to see what the factory had them torqued to.
