Apologies if there's already an ongoing thread, a quick search didn't yield anything...

Who rides on here?

The wife and I both ride but are currently without any vehicles as we have recently moved from England to Australia. We've got a mustang on order, hence why I'm here.

The plan is to get a Ducati Panigale V2 for me and an MV Agusta F3 800 RC for her after paying for the car. We sold our bikes before moving which were very similar - Ducati Panigale 899, and MV F3 800.

Hypothetical - someone challenges you to a drag race. The conditions are a closed road with permission. You are not allowed to change anything about your vehicles. Best of 3 wins a lifetime supply of fine spanish ham. Do you take the bike or the mustang?

I have a CBR600RR as my daily commuter

You had me fine Spanish ham!

Bike for sure though. Much faster acceleration. Even with my less-than-ideal launches, I was a second faster in the 1/4 with my bike than my mustang

Yeah I think I'd go bike as well, even though I'm a terrible rider.

I had a GSXR 600, which I commuted on all year round. It was great, I miss commuting on a bike. Im gonna go back to it when I get a bike again.

For a while, my main form of transportation was a motorcycle. The last bike I owned was a '15 BMW R1200R. In the 10 years I rode, I never went down once. I figured it was just a matter of time so I decided to quit while I was ahead. I considered getting a convertible Mustang to ease the transition back to cars, but I had bad experiences with soft tops in the past.

I use to street ride. Toured all over Europe and such. Went with a trail bike instead. A tree never jumped out and tried to kill me. The street is just to dangerous, the older I get the more mortal I become.

Love motorcycles, dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, Side by sides and anything with a motor in it lol.
I have many brands and had more bikes than I had time to ride for awhile lol. I grew up on the Jap bikes and purchased a Harley 10 years ago. I have owned all the CVO models and last year went to the Indian Tribe and wow and I mean wow what a huge difference over the HD brand. Even to the point I started my own Indian web site to share my enthusiasm. I have owed the BMWs and Triumphs and just about picked up the new Rocket. Here is a picture of some of my current bikes and here’s a link to my forum of interested as well.

I used to flip bikes for extra cash. I stopped because I wound up with a storage unit full of bikes that I had a hard time selling (I get too attached). Eventually I worked through them all and now I just have three.
1977 Yamaha XS750 - this bike I completely went through. When I got it someone had put some wicked pistons in it and it hauled the mail. So I raced it for a few years in various 750 classes. Eventually I started feeling bad about how much of a beater it was so I put it back to stock. Orange bike is the original config, maroon bike is current.
1990 Harley FXRS - got this bike and fixed a couple small things and found what an amazing rider it is. Handles well, cruises well, never leaks, never hiccups or gives me any issues. This thing just eats mile after mile without any issues. It is my first Harley and I had heard for years that HDs are overpriced lemons, but this bike is the most reliable bike I've had. So, as long as it keeps on being reliable, I'll keep on putting thousands of miles a year on it.
1976 Can-Am Qualifier 175 (not pictured) - just got this bike put together and running this year. Looking forward to hitting the Colorado trails with it next year.

I had a 17’ Street glide which I really liked but when the new 19’ Fat Bob with the 114 came out I traded the Street Glide for it. It was a nice bike. It was light, could lean it way more than the Street Glide and was pretty fast but 2 up riding it was too small. I missed having lockable hard bags and a radio.

I could only keep 1 bike so I traded it for a 19’ Road Glide.

The current lineup of running, functional bikes. I've got a couple more best described as basket cases:

My favorite bike to date, my '06 VRSCR:

My panhead hardtail that I built:

My custom FXR that was the first custom bike I built 25 years ago. I sold it in 2005 and I just got it back in February, and have been fixing the neglect and improving a few things. It's about to come apart for rear fender paint and the winter list of little stuff:

My '66 Sears 250. Was my Dad's and had been sitting under a pile of rugs and blankets since 1981 until last October. I cleaned it up and fixed what needed fixing, it's a fun little guy to putt around on:

What exhaust is on the FXR, if you don't mind me asking? I like how my stock exhaust sounds, but it needs re-chromed and that's almost as much as a new exhaust so I'm torn.
