LOL, this.

Us mechanical guys are typically far below the electrical guys on the geek scale.....
Agreed.

The EE/CS guys would be leaving lab at 9am when we would be starting class

Wow - usually us common-as-dirt civil engineers are in the majority. However, sounds like electrical engineers have the GT350 market cornered.:)

What? You're saying that those of us that can calculate the appropriate size of a snubber can find jobs again? Even autocorrect doesn't know what a snubber is.
On the contrary, it's a niche market. You're in demand, but chances are you'll need to move to take a new position.

Chuckle... I see that autocorrect thinks autocorrect is misspelled!

Snubbber? How about an LLC converter? Some may think it's a legal term.

Civil Engineer here.
Ahhh... that and "Civil Servant" (which I was for a few years) are two of my favorite oxymorons.

Of course, that could be an inside joke at the university I attended, where engineers were generally anything but civil, at least until they graduated.

LLC must have come along after I moved on to software.

M.E. here. I was able to juggle my degree, play baseball, and juggle the girls while in school, I guess I fall outside the trend lol
